The disclosure provides a power supply device including an input connector, a direct current (DC) processing unit, and an alternating current (AC) processing unit. The input connector obtains an AC power from an AC power supply and transmits the AC power to the DC processing unit and AC processing unit. The DC processing unit converts the AC power to a DC power, and converts the DC power to a plurality of DC voltages. The AC processing unit converts the AC power provided by the power supply to a plurality of AC voltages. An electronic device including the power supply device is also provided.

Power supply and electronic device using the same

A motherboard assembly able to use a PCI slot either to expand system function or for the installation of additional memory includes a motherboard and a storage device. The motherboard includes a PCI expansion slot, a platform controller hub (PCH), and a power circuit. The PCI expansion slot includes a protrusion, four idle pins and first signal pins connected to the PCH, and first power pins connected to the power circuit. A control chip, a number of storage chips connected to the control chip, and a power unit are arranged on the storage device. A non-central notch is included in an edge connector arranged on a bottom edge of the storage device and the edge connector allows for power pins connected to the power unit and signal pins connected to the control chip.

Storage device and motherboard able to support the storage device

A connecting circuit includes a motherboard, a first back panel, and a second back panel. The motherboard defines a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a first address distinguishing pin. The second connector includes a second address distinguishing pin. The first back panel is coupled with the first connector and transmits a first address signal to the first connector. The second back panel is coupled with the second connector and transmits a second address signal to the second connector. The first address distinguishing pin is connected to ground and the second address distinguishing pin is connected to a high level voltage to distinguish the first address signal from the second address signal.

A booting system includes a control module, a voltage regulation module, a complex programmable logic device (CPLD), and a power supply unit (PSU). The control module is configured to output a booting signal. The CPLD is coupled to the control module for receiving the booting signal and is configured to sense status of the voltage regulation module, a power control signal is outputted from the CPLD when the CPLD receives the booting signal and status of the voltage regulation module are normal. The PSU is coupled to the CPLD for receiving the power control signal from the CPLD and outputs a power signal for booting up a computer.

Booting system

A server assembly includes a first server and a second server sharing the cooling provided by one or more fans. The first server is stacked on the second server. The first server includes a first bottom plate having vents, a first side plate having first air inlets, and a first back plate having air outlets. The fans are mounted to the first server. The second server includes a second bottom plate, a second side plate having second air inlets, and a second back plate. The servers are configured to dissipate heat from the first server by air that enters the first server and is expelled out of the air outlets by the fans, and to dissipate heat from the second server by air that enters the second server, enters the first server from the vents, and is expelled out of the air outlets by the fans.

Server assembly

A power circuit for different types of fans includes first through sixth terminals, a control chip, first through third loads, and a connector. If a 3-pin fan is connected to the connector, only the first load connects the first and second terminals, and a control pin of the connector is idle. If a 4-pin fan is connected to the connector, the second load connects the third and fourth terminals, the third load connects the fifth and sixth terminals, and the first load does not connect the first and second terminals. The control pin receives a divided voltage to control fan speed.

Power circuit for different fans

A hard disk retaining apparatus includes a main body and an indicating module is installed inside the main body, the indicating module includes a display button, a trigger button, and a display unit. When the hard disk drive is installed into the main body, the hard disk drive contacts the trigger button, pressing the display button, the display unit can display if the hard disk drive is installed into the hard disk retaining apparatus. When the hard disk drive is not installed into the main body, the display unit does not work.

An audio control system installed on an electronic device includes a switch switching between a first mode and a second mode, a switching module, a microphone, a microphone control module, a speaker, a speaker control module, a signal radiating module, and a signal receiving module. When the switch is switched to the first mode, the switching module controls the microphone control module to transmit audio data of microphone to the signal radiating module to radiate the audio data via a wireless network. When the switch is switched to the second mode, the switching module controls the microphone control module to transmit the audio data of microphone to the speaker to make sound via the speaker control module.

A signal switching circuit allows a PCIe card access to additional data channels when installation of the PCIe cards on first and second PCIe connectors are detected. First and second PCIe connectors output a first detection signal when each of the first and second PCIe connectors receives a PCIe card. The first and second PCIe connectors output a second detection signal when each of the first and second PCIe connectors does not receive a PCIe card. A first multiplexer receives the first or second detection signal and connects an input terminal to first or second output terminal of the first multiplexer, to transmit PCIe signals to the first or second PCIe connector. A second multiplexer receives the first or second detection signal and connects an input terminal to first or second output terminal of the second multiplexer, to transmit PCIe signals to the first or second PCIe connectors.

An electronic device enclosure includes a chassis defining an space, and a cover module. The chassis includes two opposite sidewalls locating at two sides of the space. The cover module includes a cover and a latching apparatus mounted to the cover. A first end of the cover is rotatably connected to first ends of the sidewalls, and the latching apparatus is mounted to a second end of the cover. A second end of one of the sidewalls defines a latching hole. The latching apparatus includes a latching member slidably mounted to the cover, a resilient member sandwiched between the latching member and the cover, and an operation member mounted to the latching member. The latching member includes a latching block. The resilient member biases the latching member to slide, to allow the latching block to latch in the latching hole.

Electronic device enclosure

A mounting apparatus configured for securing a number of peripheral component interconnect (PCI) cards includes a number of positioning members. Each positioning member includes a positioning block positioning a corresponding PCI card, an inserting portion extending away from a first side of the positioning block, and a latching portion extending away from a second side of the positioning block. The inserting portion of each of the positioning members is latched to the latching portion of an adjacent positioning member.

Mounting apparatus for peripheral component interconnect cards

A notebook computer includes a base, a display, a bracket, and a fan. The display is rotatably connected to a rear side of the base and defines a number of heat dissipation holes in an outer surface of the display. The bracket is connected to the display and aligned with the heat dissipation holes. The fan is fastened to the bracket. An airflow inlet of the fan faces the heat dissipation holes, and an airflow outlet of the fan is opposite to the heat dissipation holes.

Notebook computer

An expansion apparatus includes a shell defining an opening, a baseboard mounted in the shell, and a serial advanced technology attachment dual in-line memory module (SATA DIMM) device. A memory slot, a power converter, a hard disk drive (HDD) signal expander, and a connector exposed through the opening are all arranged on the baseboard. The memory slot includes a protrusion, first power pins connected to the power converter, first ground pins, and first signal pins connected to the HDD signal expander. A control chip and storage chips are all arranged on the SATA DIMM device. An edge connector and a notch are arranged along a bottom edge of the SATA DIMM device to be detachably engaged in the memory slot. The edge connector includes second power pins connected to the control chip and the storage chips, second ground pins, and second signal pins connected to the control chip.

Expansion apparatus for serial advanced technology attachment dual in-line memory module device

An electronic device includes an enclosure, a circuit board arranged in the enclosure, a heat dissipation module set on the circuit board, and a fan arranged in the enclosure and aligned with the heat dissipation module. The heat dissipation module includes a base and a number of fins. A number of parallel receiving portions are formed on the base. A slot is defined in each retaining portion. Each fin includes a main plate and a pivoting portion formed at a bottom the main plate. The pivoting portions are respectively and pivotably received in the slots of the base.

A connection assembly includes a connection member and a switch. The connection member includes a serial attached small computer system interface (SAS) connector electronically connected to the switch. When the switch is electronically connect to the motherboard, the switch transmits signals from the motherboard to a hard disk drive backplane via the SAS connector. When the switch is electronically connect to the hard disk drive backplane, the switch transmits signals from the hard disk drive backplane to the motherboard via the SAS connector.
