An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained thereto. Each contact includes a retaining section, a contacting section in front of the retaining section, and a mounting section behind the retaining section. A plurality of independent glue reservoirs are formed on a rear side of the housing via crossing partitions. A tiny passage is formed in an exterior face of the partition to communicate the neighboring glue reservoirs so as to assure the even/same height of the hardened glue blocks in respective glue reservoirs.

Electrical connector

An electrical contact for extending through a hole in the printed circuit board in an insertion direction, includes a retention plate and a leg extending therefrom. The leg includes an insertion section and a deformation section. The deformation section includes a pair of opposite wide side faces in a first direction perpendicular to the insertion direction, and a pair of opposite narrow side faces in a second direction perpendicular to both the insertion direction and the first direction, and a cavity recessed from one wide side face in the first direction. The cavity forms a first end located closer to the insertion end of the leg in the insertion direction and equipped with a cone shape thereof, and a second end located opposite to the first end and closer to a rectangular retention section and equipped with an arc shape thereof. The cavity forms a trapezoidal cross-section.

Electrical contact

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a number of terminals retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a mating surface, a mounting surface, and a slot going through the mounting surface. The terminal received in the slot includes an interference portion retained in the slot, a contacting portion disposed around the mating surface, and a soldering leg extending downwardly beyond the mounting surface. The interference portion has two barbs disposed at two opposite sides thereof, respectively. The terminal includes a blocking portion connecting between the interference portion and the soldering leg. The width of the blocking portion is greater than the width of the interference portion.

A electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a mating face and a loading face opposite to each other. A plurality of partitions are formed in the housing with corresponding passageways in which a plurality of contacts are received. The partition includes a main body and a protrusion extending on the loading face. The protrusion includes a pair of chamfers with a recess in one side to receive the possible burrs due to the injection molding so as to allow the sealing plate intimately cover the loading face with superior waterproofing effect.

Electrical connector with coloured mating portion

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a main body defining a plurality of mating cavities each coupled with an LED located right behind the mating cavity. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing corresponding to each of the mating cavities. A translucent color ring is assembled upon a front face of the main body of the housing in front of each mating cavity. A printed circuit board is vertically attached upon a rear side of the main body with a terminal module assembled on the bottom edge. A plurality of LEDs are mounted upon the printed circuit board wherein all LEDs are electrically connected to the terminal module having connecting legs.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a main body defining a plurality of mating cavities each coupled with an LED located right behind the mating cavity. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing corresponding to each of the mating cavities. A translucent color ring is assembled upon a front face of the main body of the housing in front of each mating cavity. A holder is attached upon a rear face of the housing behind the contacts. The LEDs and the corresponding connecting legs are retained by the holder.

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, contacts, a shielding plate disposed in the housing and a metallic shell. The housing includes a base and a mating tongue, the base includes a retaining portion and a supporting portion extending downwards beyond the retaining portion. The contacts have contacting portions exposing to the mating surface and legs extending downwards from the supporting portion. The shielding plate defines a pair of side latches thereof. The metallic shell is retained on the retaining portion of the base and surrounds the mating tongue to define a mating cavity between the shell and the mating tongue. The connector further includes a front shielding member covering a front face of the supporting portion and a rear shielding member covering on a rear face of the supporting portion for shielding the legs of the contacts in a front and rear direction.

An electrical connector comprises: an insulative housing and a plurality of terminals retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing has a base portion and a mating tongue. The mating tongue comprises a stepped portion extending from the base portion and a tongue portion extending from the stepped portion. The insulative housing defines an outer periphery. The stepped portion defines a front face. The base portion defines a rear face. The terminal defines a connecting portion buried in the base portion and the stepped portion, a contacting portion extending from the connecting portion. The insulative housing defines a sealing member filling in the periphery of the connecting portion. The sealing member not extends out the front face of the stepped portion, the rear face of the base portion and the out periphery of the insulative housing. It is favorable for improving the waterproof effect of the electric connector.

Electrical connector with improved waterproof performance

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, first terminals, second terminals and a shielding shell. The insulating housing has a base portion and a mating portion, and the base portion has a mounting surface. The first terminals have a pair of differential signal terminals, a power terminal, and a grounding terminal, and the second terminals having the same type of terminals. The power terminal and the grounding terminal are disposed at two opposite sides of the pair of differential signal terminals, respectively. The first terminals and the second terminals have connecting legs extending out of the mounting face. The connecting legs of the power terminals and the grounding terminals are disposed at the middle area of the mounting surface, and the connecting legs of the differential signal terminals are respectively disposed at two opposite sides of the connecting legs of the power terminals and the grounding terminals.

Right angle type electrical connector

A high-profile electrical connector includes a terminal module, a metallic shell and a metallic supporting member. The terminal module has an insulative housing and a plurality of conductive terminals. The insulative housing has a base portion provided with a mounting face and an insulative mating portion. The conductive terminals have contacting portions and connecting legs. The metallic shell shielding around the terminal module has a metallic mating portion surrounding around the insulative mating portion and a plurality of printed circuit board mounting legs. The metallic mating portion has a lower face which is higher than the mounting face. The metallic supporting member has a supporting plate used for supporting the lower face and at least a supporting leg extending downwardly. The supporting plate is higher than the mounting face so that the supporting plate is spaced from an upper surface of the printed circuit board.

Electrical connector with a metallical supporting member secured thereto

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of contacts retained in the housing to commonly form a terminal module, a metallic shield enclosing the terminal module and forming a mating cavity, and a glue groove formed in a base of the housing and located behind the mating cavity, in which a glue part is received. The shield forms an opening communicating with the glue groove, through which the liquid type glue is injected into the glue groove and solidified therein.

Connector with waterproof structure

A card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts received in the insulative housing and a metallic cover covering the insulative housing. The contact includes a retaining portion, an extending portion horizontally and forwardly extending from the retaining portion, a connecting portion downwardly and forwardly aslant extending from the extending portion, a floating portion downwardly from the connecting portion and a contacting portion further downwardly extending from the floating portion. There are two bending points on linking portions of the connecting portion connecting with the floating portion and the extending portion, respectively. By such arrangement, when the electrical card is inserted, the contact can rotate about the two bending points in turn, that can improve an elasticity of the contact.
