In a system with an elevator system, a host can grant a visitor access to a building and switch the elevator system into a visitor operating mode in order to transport the visitor to a destination floor. The host can initiate a movement of the elevator car to a first defined floor, on which a visitor would like to enter an elevator car, by means of an input on a mobile device. A camera arranged in the elevator car and a camera recording, which is produced by means of said camera and displayed on the mobile device, enable the host to check if only the user is located in the elevator car. If this is the case, the host can initiate the movement of the elevator car to the destination floor by means of an additional input on the mobile device.

An elevator includes a car, a counterweight, a suspension working together with the car and the counterweight, and a wheel at least partially wound around by the suspension. The suspension includes a tie beam arrangement with two tie beams and an encasing shell wherein a ratio of the width of the suspension to the height thereof is in a range between one and three. The wheel includes a flute having a flat base for guiding the suspension. When the suspension is unloaded, there is an air gap between the suspension and a guide region of the flute. The suspension is ovalized under loading to close the air gap. The shell is coated, at least in areas, on the outer surface thereof, wherein the coating optionally has a friction-reducing, friction-increasing, and/or wear-detecting effect.

A testing device includes a receiving unit for electromagnetic signals arranged on a carrier element to be tested to generate test data from received electromagnetic radiation. The test data are evaluated in a processing system in order to determine a deviation of the test data from a nominal state of the carrier element. Elevator sill

An elevator the drive unit is arranged laterally in a top section of an elevator shaft and, as seen from a shaft door opening, at a side wall of the elevator shaft. At least one cable is guided over deflecting rollers of a support frame of the elevator car and over deflecting rollers of the counterweight and serves as a support and drive cable for the elevator car or the counterweight. The cable is guided over a drive pulley of the drive unit and is arranged transversely to the side wall. The support frame is constructed as a rucksack frame with an upright frame guided by guide rails and a horizontal base frame on which the elevator car is arranged. On travel to the uppermost stopping point, the upper part of the elevator car travels past the drive unit.

The automatically operated door is controlled in dependence upon the presence and movement conditions of one or more persons present on a support surface within a predeterminate space on a predetermined side of the automatically operated door. A radiation source, particularly an infrared radiation source emits a radiation field along and at a predetermined height above the support surface so that the at least one person present on the support surface is irradiated and infrared reflections originate from the at least one irradiated person. The infrared reflection is received at an active imaging device such as, for example, an infrared camera. Such imaging device contains a liquid crystal display (LCD) unit with an associated microshutter and a linear image sensor arranged in a plane extending substantially parallel to the plane of the liquid crystal display unit. Data representative of the infrared reflection images are processed in a programmable evaluation and control unit with respect to the contour representative of the at least one person and with respect to temporal variations in the reflection images. The recognition capability of the apparatus can be improved by alternatingly producing optical reflection images and infrared reflection images.

In this wireless remote control system, control signals and reporting-back signals are bidirectionally transmited between at least one portable transmitter-receiver unit, a stationary transmitter-receiver unit and a control. The portable transmitter-receiver unit contains a microprocessor and is carried, for example, by hand or in a clothing pocket. Control commands are input, depending upon their frequency of occurrence, by way of a ten-key keyboard, fixed keys or stored in a storage and transmitted as control signals via an operating mode selector switch selectively in either one of the operating modes 'manually by push-button' or 'automatically, permanently'. The signalling is non-public and on an indicator. The stationary transmitter-receiver unit with microprocessor is mounted stationarily in the transmission range of the associated portable transmitter-receiver unit and communicates the received control commands to the control. This remote control permits location-independent input of public and non-public operating requests into elevator installations and thereby a conveniently and secure call issue to protected storys. The method and the equipment can likewise be used for operating doors, escalators, turnstile and so forth and thus are generally suitable for controlling access and facilitating personnel traffic in buildings.

The displacement path-reference values are supplied to the displacement path regulation circuit in correspondingly larger time intervals until the greatest displacement path-regulation deviation is fallen short of, whereupon the reference value transmitter continues to operate with the original clock pulse frequency.
