In a vehicle door comprising an outer wall, an inner wall and an equipment carrier which is arranged between the outer and inner walls and, before the outer and inner walls are brought together, can be provided with further door parts, especially a window lifting actuation means, and which serves as a fastening base for at least two door hinges and for at least one door mounted latch arrangement actuable by means of a door lock and interacting with a corresponding frame mounted latch arrangement of the vehicle, and, if appropriate, a window frame, the equipment carrier consists of a bottom boom section with legs directed upwards on one side and at least partially forming a hollow frame, the legs being connected to one another at a distance from the bottom boom section by means of at least one strut. The bottom boom section and the legs preferably consist of an aluminium alloy casting, in which is partially cast a strut consisting of an aluminium alloy extruded hollow section of boxshaped cross section. A door of this type is light, has high rigidity and can be produced economically.

Vehicle door

A device for contact-free measurement of the temperature at the surface of a workpiece, in particular aluminum strips and sections, and/or for determining and/or measuring the shape of a workpiece, in particular dimension or shape or the like includes, a measuring pin which has a central bore resides in a housing and is directed at the workpiece. The workpiece is jetted with compressed gas emerging from the central bore. The measuring pin in the housing can be moved in the direction x and maintains a specific distance s from the surface of the workpiece as a result of a negative pressure created by the compressed gas between the base of the measuring pin and the workpiece surface. Situated in the bore and at the base of the measuring pin are thermocouples which transmit their measured values to a registering unit.

Performing contact-free measurement on a workpiece

The surface of a material is inspected for defects by visual examination of a television picture of the surface produced by at least one camera focused on the material and transmitting an image to a screen in the form of a video signal. The connection between screen and camera is made only when a defect is detected on the surface of the material. The video signal is delimited by an upper and a lower signal level which, if exceeded, results in a trigger signal being activated. In addition a trigger mechanism and an image storage facility are provided between the screen and the camera. Appearing on the screen are only pictures of surface areas showing defects; areas without defects are not displayed on the screen.
