A cap-free filler neck for a motor vehicle tank comprises a tubular part, which is connected to the tank, and an insert, which insert comprises a funnel part with a throat and a partition part adjoining the throat at the bottom. The upper edge zone of the funnel part and the partition part adjoin the tubular part in a sealing manner. The partition part has a throughflow opening which is closed in a sealing manner by a flap, which can be locked in a closed position, and can be pivoted into an open position counter to the force of a spring by a fuel nozzle. So that, despite the tight closure, rainwater which has penetrated can flow away, the space delimited by the tubular part, the funnel part and the partition part can be brought into connection with the environment via an opening in the tubular part, which opening can be closed by a valve, which is accommodated in said space, by the introduction of the fuel nozzle.

Cap-free-filler pipe for the tank of a motor vehicle

A fuel tank with ventilation system and activated carbon filter which, on the one hand, is connected by a first line () to the fuel tank and by a second line () to an internal combustion engine, and, on the other hand, by a third line () to the atmosphere, should have as simple and compact a ventilation system as possible, which fulfills all functions in full measure. To this end, a controlled two-way valve unit () is provided, whereof the first path connects the first line () to the third line () and the second path connects the second line () to the third line (), and an electronic control unit () is provided, which on the input side is connected to a refueling sensor () and to a liquid level sensor () and on the output side is connected to the controlled two-way valve unit (). The controlled two-way valve unit () comprises two valves () accommodated in a common housing () and having closing bodies (), whereof the first () closes off or opens up the first path and the second () closes off or controllably opens up the second path.

Fuel tank comprising an aeration system

A fuel tank with an opening, on which a lid is mounted in a removable manner by means of thread or bayonet, is intended to provide a sustained and sealed closure under all conditions. For this purpose, two sealing rings are arranged between the sealing surfaces, the inner one being liquid-tight and the outer one being made of an elastomer with high permeation resistance. The sealing surfaces within the outer sealing ring have a narrow gap leading as far as the outer sealing ring, and the fuel tank has a reinforcement surrounding the opening.

Multifunctional valve for the fuel tank of a motor vehicle. In order to fulfill all these requirements in terms of safety and the restriction of emissions with a valve in as simple a way as possible, the closing element () can be moved to a limited degree with respect the float (), is acted on by a first spring () and has a small pressure equalization hole (), an intermediate element () is provided on the float () and above the closing element () and can move to a limited degree with respect to the float () in the axial direction and is acted on by a second spring (), and a seat plate () is arranged above the intermediate element () and is pressed downward against a second seat () by a third spring ().

Multifunctional valve for the fuel tank of a motor vehicle

A tank cap has a cap part, a filler neck for receiving a refueling nozzle wherein the neck can be closed by the cap part via a rotary closure having at least two seals arranged on the cap part and active between the cap part and the neck. The sealing surfaces on the neck are provided behind a raised region of a protuberance and below at least one projection.

A filler pipe for the fuel tank of a motor vehicle having an internally located closure flap which closes a filling aperture at the end region of an internally located housing part made from plastic and can be brought into its open position by insertion of a fuel-pump nozzle in order to fill the fuel tank. An elastomeric seal is arranged on the housing part acting between the housing part and the closure flap. The seal is applied to a seal support which is connected to the plastic housing to provide a seal both relative to the closure flap and relative to the housing part.

Fuel tank

To provide a simple on-board refueling vapor recovery (ORVR) system without separate check valves and the like, a multi-path valve, typically a 6/2 valve (5) is provided, and formed with a discrete switching path (13) which is inserted in a pressure equalization line (12). Upon valve operation between a fuel filling mode position and an operating mode position, respectively, the valve switches the discrete switching path of the pressure equalization line (12) to connect the equalization line (12) to a fuel vapor receptor through a valve outlet when the valve (5) is in operating mode position, while blocking the equalization line (12) when the valve (6) is in filling mode position. A roll-over valve (14) can be integrated into the system, preferably coupled to a small-diameter pressure equalization duct (15) with a fill vent line (3) which, by operation of the valve, is open when a nozzle (9) is introduced into a filling stub (2) for the fuel tank, but closed when the nozzle is removed, leaving only an operating vent line (4), the pressure equalization line (12) and the small-diameter pressure equalization duct (15) in communication with the outlet from the valve leading to vapor receptor.
