The ester quat solutions described contain at least 70% by weight, based on the solution, of at least one ester quat compound of the formula below ##STR1## where RCO is an aliphatic acyl radical having 6 to 22 carbon atoms, R' is H or a C.sub.1 to C.sub.22 alkyl radical, R.sup.1 is a methyl or ethyl radical, R.sup.2 is a C.sub.1 to C.sub.8 alkyl radical, R.sup.3 is a C.sub.3 to C.sub.8 alkyl radical and X.sup.- is a halide, alkyl carbonate, alkyl phosphate or an alkyl sulfate, where alkyl is methyl or ethyl. They are prepared by quaternizing corresponding carboxylic acid alkanolamine esters with, preferably, methyl chloride or dimethyl sulfate. The aqueous solutions described are advantageously suitable for preparing laundry detergents and cosmetics.

High-concentration aqueous ester quat solutions

A composite tool unit comprising a tool shank, a tool head a chuck, a drawbar which is slidable in the longitudinal direction of the tool shank and a pulling shank which projects from the tool head. The drawbar and pulling shank are engaged around by the chuck, which is disposed in the tool shank axially to slide between an opening position and a closure position. The tool shank comprises an inner conical face which tapers in the direction of the drawbar and co-operates with outer conical segments disposed on the clamping jaws. The zones of the drawbar 8 and pulling shank 8 of the tool head engaged around by the chuck have respective projections. The flank of the radial projection of the drawbar which is remote from the tool head registers in each position of the clamping jaws with radially inwardly extending projections thereof to transmit an axial pull to the clamping jaws, whereas the projection of the pulling shank in relation to the clamping jaw projections registers only in the closure position of the chuck. The tool head is pulled via the drawbar, the chuck and the pulling shank into a positive connection (Hirth-type serrations) with the tool shank.

Composite tool unit for chip-removing machining

Hot working roller reinforced with a working jacket of hard metal or the like, the jacket being prestressed in the direction of the roller axis by a clamping force acting via clamping rings presenting clamping surfaces inclined with respect to the roller axis, with the jacket being separated from the roller body by an annular gap having a height such that during use of the roller the outer surface of the roller body remains out of contact with the inner surface of the jacket over the entire intended operating temperature range of the roller, and the clamping surfaces being inclined in a direction such that the clamping force acting on the jacket presents a radially outwardly directed component.
