A rolling bearing may have at least two bearing rings arranged rotatably relative to each other, at least one row of rolling elements arranged such that they can roll between the bearing rings, and a position-determining device for determining an absolute angular position of the bearing rings relative to each other. The position-determining device includes field patterns that are arranged on a surface of a first of the bearing rings and distributed around a circumference thereof, with fields of the field patterns having field heights with discrete values. The position-determining device also includes at least one eddy current sensor that is provided on a second of the bearing rings to scan the field patterns. An evaluation device may be configured to assign an associated angular position signal, which describes the absolute angular position of the first and second bearing rings relative to each other, to a scan of each field pattern.

A wind turbine includes a rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is mounted via a bearing assembly having a first bearing ring and a second bearing ring mounted to rotate in relation to the first bearing ring. A hydrostatically supported first friction bearing segment is disposed on the first bearing ring and interacts with a first friction face that is disposed on the second bearing ring. The first friction bearing segment is received in a receptacle pocket of the first bearing ring such that a first compression chamber is formed between the first bearing ring and the first friction bearing segment. The first friction bearing segment is configured such that a second compression chamber is formed between the first friction bearing segment and the second bearing ring, wherein the first compression chamber and the second compression chamber are connected by a duct that runs through the first friction bearing segment.

A rolling element for use in a rolling-element bearing is proposed, including an outer casing and a bore hole. The bore hole is provided along a center line of the rolling element. The rolling element has at least one sensor arranged in the bore hole for load measurement and a radio module for transmitting the data measured by the sensor, wherein the rolling element has a micro-generator to provide the energy required for operation of the sensor and/or of the radio module.

A bearing assembly may include a first bearing ring, a second bearing ring, and at least one row of rolling elements having a plurality of rolling elements that are disposed so as to be capable of rolling on a first raceway of the first bearing ring and on a second raceway of the second bearing ring. Further, the hydrostatically supported first sliding bearing segment may interact with a first bearing face that is disposed on the second bearing ring. A bearing or rolling bearing may comprise a stationary first bearing ring and a second bearing ring that is arranged in a rotatable manner about a longitudinal axis relative to the first bearing ring. The bearing may have a first sensor and a second sensor, which are contactless measuring sensors. The first sensor and the second sensor may each have a sensor surface. The first sensor may be positioned opposite an at least partly circumferential reference edge, and the second sensor may be positioned opposite a reference surface. The first sensor can measure a degree of overlap between the sensor surface of the first sensor and the reference edge. The second sensor can measure a distance, in particular a radial distance, between the sensor surface of the second sensor and the reference surface.

Bearing and method for monitoring wear and/or measuring a load

A rolling bearing with an inner ring and an outer ring which is rotatable about a rotation axis relative to the inner ring, or with an outer ring and an inner ring which is rotatable about a rotation axis relative to the outer ring, and with at least one sealing element arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring for sealing an interior of the rolling bearing which can be filled with a lubricant. The rolling bearing includes a conveying element for conveying the lubricant which is arranged on the one of the inner ring and outer ring so as to be rotatable about the rotation axis of the rolling bearing and in such a way that a play exists between the conveying element and the other of the inner ring and outer ring.
