An impeller for a fan comprising a hub for rotation by a drive rotor and a plurality of fan blades for rotation with the hub, the impeller further comprising a support or guide member supporting or connecting fan blades of said plurality, and wherein one or more pockets are provided in said support or guide member and open axially of the fan for receiving balance weights.

Fan impellers

An electric motor has a rotor shaft which is journalled in an axial bearing located within a bearing tube of a stator. To control relative axial movement of the rotor shaft and bearing, a butting ring is fixed, by supporting arms, in the butt end of the rotor shaft. An abutment surface of the butting ring abuts an end face of the bearing. Lubricant pockets are formed in the abutment surface to hold a lubricant. A further supply of lubricant is received within a lubricant storage pocket formed in a surface of said butting ring opposed to said abutment surface. The lubricant storage pocket is connected to the lubricant pockets by way of connecting channels.

An axial flow fan for ventilating electrical and electronic equipment includes a brushless, DC external rotor-type central drive motor. The stator is supported by a bearing tube formed of plastic, which is connected together with a mounting flange to form a single piece.

Miniaturized direct current fan

Axial retaining ring is provided for a free end of a rotor shaft of an electric motor having a rotor, with a first stop element on one of the shaft or the rotor and a second stop element in the form of a retaining ring which, during assembly of the motor, is fitted onto the free end of the rotor shaft and is secured by engaging in a circular recess on the shaft free end, both stop elements of the rotor acting between two stationary stop faces of the electric motor and fixing the axial position of the rotor. The retaining ring is constructed in the form of a resilient pushbutton fittable in the axial direction onto the shaft end and the retaining ring having generally axially directed resilient retaining arms that engage in the circular recess provided in the shaft end.

Axial retaining means for the rotor shaft of an electric motor

In an electric motor, a springy disk with internal projections is used to position the iron stator plates of an electric motor by engagement with a soft material of the electric motor bearing support part. The disk is thus fixed with plates of the stator to align the stator plates with the support tube. The disk can be held between an end plate of the stator and the iron plates by windings of the motor. The disk can have tabs or ribs to align the plates properly or can have a pole configuration similar to the plates themselves. Indexing ribs can be located between the disks and the support plate.

The stator is supported by a bearing tube formed of plastic, integrally molded with a mounting flange. In one embodiment, the fan casing forms part of the integral plastic molding.

The rotor is supported by a bearing tube formed of plastic, integrally moulded with a mounting flange. In one embodiment, the fan casing forms part of the integral plastic molding.

Motor with toothed disk to secure the stator core

The invention relates to a miniature axial fan particularly of an axially compact construction, having a central motor driving a rotor disk with a housing surrounding the rotor disk in which an interior housing wall on the inflow side is cylindrical and extends past the axial center of the housing and then this cylinder wall expands outwardly to the outlet side of the housing to produce an enlargement of the flow cross-section. The housing has webs extending inwardly from the outlet side of the housing that carry the central driving motor with the rotor disk. A number of blades are mounted on the rotor disk which numbers differs from the number of webs.

Miniature axial fan

A bearing assembly for a small compact sized fan is provided which can utilize either a sintered bearing or a roller bearing, and which provides several embodiments for positioning the bearings in a radial and axial direction. The invention utilizes a bearing support tube for constraining the bearing in radial direction and an end cover cap attached to a flange of the fan duct to retain the bearings in an axial direction.

Small size fan

Prior art stators of brushless DC motors are securely connected with the bearing support member, and/or with the fastening flange. The printed circuit board with electronic components for commutation is arranged for space reasons between the fastening flange and the stator. This type of construction makes difficult impossible an exchange of defective components. A removable stator is proposed which is retained and secured by means of only a spring element that compensates for tolerance variations in replacement parts.

A bearing assembly for an axially compact miniature motor or ventilator, wherein a sintered friction bearing unit (15) for the motor of a rotary shaft (1) of the drive motor (13) is clamped between a shoulder (6') of a bearing support tube (5) and another shoulder (7) of a closure element (8) cooperating with the bearing support tube (5).

Bearing assembly for an axially compact miniature motor or ventilator

A small fan with an electric power motor is provided, the rotor of which is designed as a cup-shaped outer rotor and blade wheel hub. The outer wall of the blade wheel hub coaxially widens in the direction of air flow and forms the inner wall of an air flow duct. The fan blades are mounted on this outer wall, which wall, is conical shaped and is disposed as an outer lining over the cup-shaped outer rotor.

Small fan

A construction is provided for reducing axial rotor oscillations in a small electric motor having a stator, a rotor, a shaft and sleeve bearings having end faces, the sleeve bearings journalling the shaft. The construction includes a rotation element having a sliding surface at one of its axial ends, a spring element urging the sliding surface in sliding contact with a face of the adjacent sleeve bearing and a driving connection for rotating the rotation element in synchronism with the motor shaft during rotation thereof.
