A method selects a communication status for a first mobile terminal. The first mobile terminal assumes a 'slave' status during a first time period and waits to see whether, by a communication request from another mobile terminal to the first mobile terminal, a connection is set up to the other mobile terminal. If a connection is set up, the first mobile terminal constantly assumes the 'slave' status and the other mobile terminal constantly assumes a &#x201c;master&#x201d; status. After the first time period without a communication request from another mobile terminal, the first mobile terminal switches from the &#x201c;slave&#x201d; status to the &#x201c;master&#x201d; status for a second time period and sends a number of communication requests to set up a connection to another mobile terminal and, if a connection is set up in this way, constantly assumes the &#x201c;master&#x201d; status and the other mobile terminal constantly assumes the &#x201c;slave&#x201d; status.

Method and system for selecting a communication status for at least one mobile terminal

With a hearing aid device, the problem arises of having to match the output power and/or the frequency response of the hearing aid device to the level of hearing impairment of the patient as precisely as possible. In such cases allowance must be made for the noise level, which is a function of the technology used, to be kept as low as possible and for the signal-to-noise level to be as great as possible. A switching arrangement and/or a hearing aid device and method are provided in which the power amplifier is embodied with at least two output stages. The outputs of the individual output stages can be connected in parallel by means of a controllable switching facility. A simple adjustment of the output power and/or frequency response can be achieved in this way by simply connecting a corresponding number of output stages in parallel.

Circuit arrangement for adjusting the output power and/or the frequency response of a power amplifier for a hearing aid device

A method is described for reduction of occlusion effects in an acoustic appliance which closes an auditory channel, wherein an audio signal in the transmission path of the acoustic appliance is processed by a signal processing unit and is emitted via an output transducer, which is arranged in the auditory channel, as an acoustic signal. A resultant sound signal is then detected by an auditory channel microphone and is supplied to a variable loop filter which is arranged in a feedback loop of an occlusion reduction unit for the acoustic appliance. The output signal from the loop filter is injected into the transmission path of the audio signal. The occlusion reduction unit is in this case controlled adaptively, with at least one signal from the transmission path of the audio signal and/or from the feedback loop being used to control the loop filter for the occlusion reduction unit.

The aim is for an LC oscillator circuit of a hearing apparatus to be operated on a sustained basis in a desired frequency range. To this end, a hearing apparatus is proposed having an oscillator and a trimming facility for trimming the oscillation frequency of the oscillator. A control facility controls the oscillation frequency of the oscillator with the aid of the trimming facility in accordance with a predetermined desired value. An automatic self-trimming of a wireless transmission system in a hearing apparatus and in particular in a hearing device is thus possible.

Data is wirelessly transferred between a hearing aid and an external device, wherein the hearing aid via an internal receiving device, receives data being sent form the external device via a wireless connection. The hearing aid is in a receiving mode when data from the external device is sent via the wireless connection, wherein the receiving device is then permanently in the on-position for receiving data. Furthermore, the hearing aid switches to a stand-by mode, when no data is sent via the wireless connection from the external device, wherein the receiving device is alternatively turned on and off, in order to detect a beginning data transfer from the external device.

Method for wireless data transfer between a hearing aid and an external device

A method for identifying hearing aids is described wherein a wireless connection is established between a control device and at least one unidentified hearing aid, and which comprises the following procedural steps: a request is sent by the control device to at least one unidentified hearing aid; the request is received by the hearing aid addressed; a response is provided in the hearing aid addressed, whereby the response contains an individual identifier of the respective hearing aid; and the response is sent by the hearing aid addressed to the control device, whereby the response is transmitted at a point in time that is individually determined by the responding hearing aid.

Method for identifying hearing aids within the scope of wireless programming

The microphones used in hearing devices normally possess different characteristic lines that are to be adapted to one another. For this purpose, the amplitude of an output signal of a first microphone and the amplitude of an output signal of a second microphone are measured. The output signal of the first microphone is subsequently filtered dependent on both measured amplitudes, such that the difference between the two output signals is reduced. One of the two microphones hereby serves as a reference, and an absolute normalization can be foregone.

Circuit and method for adaptation of hearing device microphones

For reducing the power consumption of a hearing aid system, an internal or external hearing aid signal source with a signal line for the transmission of a signal to a hearing aid amplifier and a control device for the connection and disconnection of the hearing aid signal source is provided in the hearing aid. A monitoring logic monitors the signal line and supplies a switch signal to the control device, so that the hearing aid signal source can be connected and disconnected on the basis of the switch signal. Each signal source can thus be individually connected and disconnected without employing additional connections from the hearing aid system to the signal source.
