A turning device in a sheet-processing machine includes a sheet-guiding drum. The sheet-guiding drum has at least one gripper system for securing a front edge of a sheet. The sheet-guiding drum also has at least three casing segments cooperating in the circumferential direction and engaging with one another during format adjustment. A method for the format adjustment of a sheet-guiding drum is also disclosed. The object of the invention is to further improve the sheet guiding on format-adjustable sheet-guiding drums in sheet-processing machines. This is achieved in that a middle casing segment in the circumferential direction has a drive.

A sheet-guiding drum in a sheet-processing machine, comprises a gripper system, a gripper shaft, and a gripper tube. A method for producing a gripper system is also disclosed. The sheet-guiding drum further improves the sheet transport process, in particular the turning process, in sheet-processing machines. The problem addressed by the invention is in particular the provision of a low-wear rolling-element bearing that preferably eliminates the aforementioned disadvantages and, in particular, meets all further boundary conditions. This problem is solved in that the gripper tube is assembled from tube segments.

A sheet feeding unit for a rotary sheet printing machine which is operative for selective face printing or face and back printing with turning of a sheet rear edge and which has a turning cylinder and a printing cylinder located before the turning cylinder, includes elements located underneath the turning drum and the printing drum for conducting and guiding overlong sheets in face and back printing during a turning step on a front edge. Each adjusting device has two conical sleeves fixedly mounted within a gear drive, two conical bushings cooperating with the two conical sleeves, and an adjusting spindle for supporting the two conical bushings for linear displacement toward and away from each other.
