For an electrical contact element with a securing end for securing in an opening of a support plate, it is proposed to provide the securing end with a central bore and with axial slots, elastic tongues being formed, and to introduce a pressure element into the bore, the tongues being forced radially outward against the wall of the support plate opening as the pressure element is pressed into the bore.

Electrical contact element

For a plug connector for card-edge mounting, in particular a plug connector with 2 or more rows, it is proposed that the printed circuit board connection side of the plug connector should have at least one press-on body which is connected to the insulating body of the plug connector so as to be capable of rotating or hinging and in which the soldering connections of the contacts of the plug connector are held.

For a switch connector with contact elements disposed in contact cavities of an insulator body, with contact elements with at least one spring-elastic arm in the contact cavities, and in which contact blades of a corresponding mating connector can be inserted in the contact cavities and thus make contact with the contact elements and in which there is provided at least one shorting jumper which short-circuits two contact elements in the absence of an inserted mating connector, the short circuit being broken when the blade contacts are inserted in the contact cavities, it is proposed that the shorting jumper is designed as a rigid contact part and has at least one contact limb which is disposed between the contact spring limbs of the contact elements and that in the contact cavities there is a switching element provided with a switching spring limb, the switching spring limb acting on the contact spring limb of the contact element in such a way that the latter is displaced until the switching spring limb bears against the contact limb of the shorting jumper.

Switch connector

For a unilaterally contacting contact spring for electric connectors, it is proposed to influence the contact force of the spring limb by means of an adjusting spring which acts upon the spring limb. As a result, a high contact pressure is already achieved upon slight deflection of the spring limb and, upon maximum deflection, the characteristic curve of the spring presents a flatter shape so that the contact force does not assume excessively high values.

Contact spring

For a switch plug with contact springs arranged in contact chambers of an insulating body, wherein at least two adjacent contact springs are connected by means of a jumper when no mating plug is plugged in, it is proposed, with a view to clearing the short circuit upon introduction of the blade contacts of a mating plug, to provide an actuating component made of plastic material in the entry zone of the blade contracts which acts upon a spring elastic jumper in such a way that the connection between the contact springs is broken.

Switch plug

A plug connector with bent contact posts for insertion into printed circuit board holes includes a comb-shaped supplemental part having crosspieces with bearing shoulders for the contact posts disposed between the contact posts. The contact posts are mutually supported by way of the crosspieces so that a simple insertion tool, acting on the upper side of the upper row of posts, may be used for insertion of the plug connector.
