The invention relates to an eccentric gear arrangement of a motor-driven, hand-guided hedge trimmer (). The eccentric gear arrangement includes two shearing blades () driven in mutually opposite directions over a displacement path (a). Each shearing blade has a connecting link () as well as an eccentric wheel () having a drive wheel () and two eccentrics (). The eccentric wheel () rotates about a rotational axis (). The two connecting links () lie directly above one another. The two eccentrics () are arranged on the same side of the drive wheel () and engage each in one of the two connecting links (). The two shearing blades () have contact pressure surfaces () in the region of their two connecting links () and are offset with respect to each other in such a manner that they are exposed at least over a portion of the displacement path (a). Two downholders () are provided which act each on one of the assigned contact pressure surfaces ().

Eccentric gear arrangement

A rotatably driveable work tool () of a motor-driven work apparatus has, at a front end (), an end plate () lying perpendicularly to a rotational axis (). The end plate () has an outer diameter (D) which is less than a flight circular diameter (D) of the work tool (). The end plate () is configured as a roll-up protective ring () which extends in a radial direction () from an inner diameter (D) to the outer diameter (D). The roll-up protective ring has an axially-extending component from the work tool () outwardly.

Motor-driven work apparatus

A portable handheld work apparatus, such as a motorized cultivator () or the like, includes a frame () which extends essentially in the longitudinal direction () of the work apparatus. A drive motor () is fixed at one end () of the frame () and a work tool is driven by this drive motor. The opposite-lying end () includes at least a handle () for guiding the work apparatus during the operation thereof. In order to make possible an ergonomic work posture of the operator, the handle () lies facing away upwardly from the ground surface () in the work position of the motorized work apparatus. The work position is a position in which the work tool lies on the ground surface () to be worked.

Portable handheld work apparatus

The invention is directed to a pruning apparatus having a drive motor which is mounted on a carrier adapted for mounting on the back of an operator. The drive motor is connected with a rotating cutting tool by means of a flexible shaft. The flexible shaft includes an output member and a drive member. The output member is connected to a drive motor and is contained in a connecting tube. The output member is connected via a coupling unit to the drive member which is disposed in a guide tube. The guide tube carries the rotating cutting tool which produces a smooth cut so that the formation of fungus at the cut is completely eliminated. A cover plate is affixed to the guide tube so as to be adjacent to the cutting tool and has an outer diameter smaller than the cutting circle defined by the tip of the rotating cutting tool. While operating the apparatus, the stationary cover plate, unlike the rotating cutting tool, remains clearly visible thereby facilitating a precise cutting operation.

Pruning apparatus

The prompting device for safety belts in a motor vehicle comprises a sensor for sensing battery voltage drop during actuation of a starter of the motor vehicle. The sensed voltage drop is converted into a binary signal which is stored in a storing device. After termination of the starting process when the engine is running and driving a loading generator, the stored binary signal activates via a timing switch an optical and/or acoustical indicator prompting the user of the vehicle to fasten the seat belts.

Safety belt prompting device for motor vehicles

The invention is directed to a hedge trimmer having a pair of elongated cutters journalled for reciprocal movement. The two movable cutters are journalled on a guide bar so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction thereof and include cutting teeth which extend transversely to the direction of movement. Protective teeth are arranged with respect to the guide bar and are arranged next to the cutting teeth so as to be parallel thereto. The protective teeth are configured to be so long that the free end portions thereof project outwardly beyond the outer edges of the cutting teeth.
