A container closure including a retaining ring which extends around a reference axis of the container closure, a cap part and a hinge which connects the retaining ring to the cap part. The cap part has an end plate, an enclosing circumferential wall and a grip projection which extends radially outward from the circumferential wall, axially with a distance to the end plate. A deformable region of the circumferential wall extends diametrically opposite the hinge, between the end plate and the grip projection, and has a latching projection directed radially inward, a lower wall section which lies between the latching projection and the grip projection and an upper wall section which lies between the latching projection and the end plate.

The invention concerns a plastic closure for fitting on to the neck of a liquid container in positively locking and sealed relationship comprising a head plate () provided for covering a container opening and an outer seal () which is circumferential along the edge of the head plate () and is provided for engagement with the outside of a container neck () defining the container opening, and an inner seal () which is circumferential within the outer seal () and parallel thereto and which is provided for engagement with the inside of the container neck, wherein the outer and the inner seals () respectively extend approximately perpendicularly or slightly inclined from an inside () of the head plate (). To provide a closure and also a container having a closure which generally prevent the closure being blown off under a high positive pressure it is proposed according to the invention that the outer seal () has a weakened region (″) in at least one circumferential portion so that the outer seal () becomes unsealed at a lower internal positive pressure than when the outer seal is of a configuration without the weakened region.

A plastic screw cap () for large containers, comprises a cylindrical outer jacket () having a first internal thread () of larger diameter and a head plate (), which at least partially closes the outer jacket () at an axial end, wherein the head plate has an opening (), which accommodates a removal sleeve () having an approximately cylindrical inner jacket having a second internal thread () of smaller diameter, which inner jacket protrudes into the interior of the outer jacket, wherein the head plate () and the removal sleeve () are integrally joined to each other. In order to provide caps of the same functionality that can be produced more simply, the outer jacket (), according to the invention, together with the head plate () on the one hand and the removal sleeve () together with the internal thread () on the other hand are produced separately from each other by injection molding and are joined to each other fixedly and tightly by welding in order to form the complete screw cap ().

Screw cap for large containers

The present invention relates to a plastics lid of a container with a plastics closure fitted in an aperture of the lid, in particular a combination of the plastics lid ( ) of a container and a plastics closure ( ) which is composed of a lower closure portion ( ) with a closure foot ( ), which can be fitted in an aperture of the lid ( ), and a screw cap ( ) which can be screwed on a pouring spout ( ) of the lower closure portion ( ), wherein the edge of the lid aperture is provided with an annular circumferential web ( ) facing towards the outside of the lid, which is in engagement with the closure foot ( ) fitted in the lid aperture, and closure foot ( ) is configured U-shaped in cross-section, and grips around the web ( ) with both U-arms ( ). In order to design a closure substantially only in two parts in combination with a lid such that in spite of a simple design, it offers a high degree of protection against tampering, furthermore the closure sealing capability is also guaranteed even under very rough transportation conditions, and in use the closure has a reliable functioning capability, it is proposed according to the invention that on the lid ( ) a groove ( ) surrounding the web ( ) is provided, which is provided for engagement of the outer U-arm of the closure foot.

A plastic screw closure for bottles comprising a cap having a substantially cylindrical peripheral portion (,) with an internal screw thread (,) for screwing onto an external screw thread (,) of a bottle neck (,), and with a disc-like top plate portion (,). A substantially cylindrical sealing strip (,) which extends axially from the inside of the top plate portion (,) has an outside diameter at least equal to the bottle neck's outside diameter (D) and an inside diameter (,r,) smaller than the bottle neck's outside diameter (D). Inside the cylindrical sealing strip (,), a further, substantially cylindrical sealing olive-shaped button (,) is radially fitted, the outside diameter (,R,) of which, at least in the area near the top plate and opposite the sealing strip (,), is larger than the inside diameter (d) of the bottle neck (,).

A container closure made from plastics, for supplying air to or removing air from a container, comprising a closure lower portion which can be connected to the container and has a diaphragm portion which comprises one piece with said lower portion, closes the pouring opening and can be torn out, and a cap which can be detachably connected to the closure lower portion characterized in that the diaphragm portion has a resilient diaphragm with an opening which in the normal position of the diaphragm portion is sealed in an air-tight manner by a projection of the container closure abutting with the opening, wherein the diaphragm of the diaphragm portion is prestressed against the projection of the container closure, and a hollow space of the cap adjoining the opening is in open connection with the atmosphere.
