An air humidifier for moisturizing air in a dry treatment device for a photographic material comprises a housing having inner walls and provided with at least one air aspiration openng and at least one air discharge opening, a moisturizable element arranged in the housing, a unit for blowing air through the moisturizable element and then through the air discharge opening to a space to be moisturized and also located in the housing, the moisturizing element being formed as a rotatable disc arranged before the air discharged opening and provided with rotary drive unit for its rotation, a light protective plate arranged between the moisturizable disc and the unit for blowing air and at least locally spaced from the inner wall of the housing so as to form throughgoing air passages, and light separating parts provided behind the throughgoing air passages and before the moisturizable disc.

In a threading arrangement for strip-shaped material with a timely operating overlapping of gaps of guiding for the material after a supply device for example at treatment locations, particularly at treatment devices for band-shaped photographic layer carrier, a guiding rail is provided for guiding the material at both flat sides and at a side edge, and the guiding rail is movable in the plane of the material transverse to its transporting direction with a guide for the side edge to an overlapping position and after threading from said position.

Apparatus for positioning exposed and developed photographic roll films in a copying machine has a base which is formed with an exposure window and supports a removable cover, an advancing roll for photographic films, a first set of claws which can enter the perforations of a section of a roll film when the section is inserted and moved lengthwise by hand, and a second set of claws which can be used to position manually inserted webs of different films film webs which are bonded to data-carrying strips. The cover thereby retracts or depresses the first set of claws so that they cannot interfere with automatic transport of roll films. The claws of the second set are held in retracted positions by a removable insert which carries the first set of claws and the advancing roll and which is replaceable by a second insert when the apparatus is to position manually inserted different films which are bonded to data carrying strips. The second insert has apertures through which the claws of the second set extend so that they can enter the perforations of such different films.

Apparatus for supporting and positioning webs of photographic material

Apparatus for applying printed matter to the rear sides of webs of photographic paper in a copying machine has an upright frame for a vertically reciprocable housing which is lifted by a first rotary electromagnet and retained in raised position and thereupon released by a second rotary electromagnet. The housing is movable up and down with several modules each of which contains a wheel having at its periphery a set of symbols. Selected symbols can be moved to positions at the lowermost points of the respective wheels by remotely controlled electromagnets so that such selected symbols face a ribbon which is located above the rear side of a web of photographic paper. The modules are movable downwardly in the housing against the opposition of separate springs and the frame carries a projection which intercepts the housing, after the housing is released by the second electromagnet and while the housing descends by gravity, before the selected symbols can press the ribbon against the web of photographic paper. When the housing is intercepted, the modules therein descend due to inertia and against the opposition of the respective springs whereby the selected symbols press the adjacent portions of the ribbon against the rear side of the web. The housing is lifted by the first electromagnet in automatic response to completion of an exposure in the copying machine.
