A track or caterpillar chain for track-laying vehicles, in which the track chain is constructed pursuant to the linkage principle, incorporating connecting pins supported in rubber bushings in the chain links, and separate connectors arranged outside on the connector pins which are clampable by a screw for the connection of the chain links. The track chain link, which to some extent is constructed as a tubular member has at least two openings provided therein for the receipt of toothed driving sprocket wheels or pinions, in which the openings are defined or bounded by two tube portions of the tubes extending somewhat transversely of the direction of travel of the track chain, and bounded by lateral or side strap-like connectors.

An arrangement for the connection of track links of endless crawler track vehicles with articulated tracks and coupling chains, in which novel link pins, pursuant to their utilization in the articulated tracks or coupling chains, are provided with slide bearings or rubber bushings and connectors. The pins consist of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic material with highly stressable carbon fibers arranged in a matrix consisting of epoxy resin, polyamide or the like.

Arrangement for the connection of the track links of endless crawler

An arrangement forming an assembling aid on crawler chains for track-laying or crawler track vehicles, whose chain link members are equipped with rubber-cushioned coupled pins, and which are interconnected through the intermediary of clamp-like connectors slideable over the ends of the coupling pins and adapted to be fixedly anchored by means of a screw. The coupling pins which are to be interconnected in the assembled condition are provided with securing elements which engage into a slot formed in the connector. Each individual coupling pin is equipped with separate adjusting or setting elements, which protrude cog-like beyond the cross-section of the coupling pin, wherein the adjusting elements evidence a lower height or diameter relative to the width of the slot in the clamped-in condition of the connector, and wherein guide surfaces are formed on the connector for the preadjustment and final adjustment of the adjusting elements.
