A carrying arrangement having a carrier arm adjustable in elevation is improved so that a load carried thereby can be easily exchanged. A gas-pressure spring () incorporates a latching device in such a manner that the gas-pressure spring self latches when a predetermined blocking position (P) is reached and the self-latching device is disabled in response to an application of pressure to the carrier arm so as to move the carrier arm beyond the blocking position (P).

Carrying arrangement

A pivotable bracket is provided such that a constant moment of friction is present at the hinge (). A first hinge part () is provided, which has a cylindrical pin () and a contact surface (). A second hinge part () is provided, which has a bearing bush (), which can be pushed over the pin (), with two friction surfaces () directed at right angles to the central axis (). The second hinge part () is braced against the contact surface () by means of a tensioning device () arranged on the upper side of the pin ().

Pivotable bracket

A height-adjustable carrying device with a parallelogram cranking mechanism has a self-locking pneumatic spring (), with a valve for abolishing the blocking function. A release element (), with which the valve () is actuated, is arranged according to the present invention at a handle () for swiveling the carrying device in one assembly unit.
