The present invention relates to a silenced blowing nozzle for blowing of a static gas medium under overpressure, in particular air, having in a central part ( ) of the nozzle at least one first discharge opening ( ) embodied to generate a core stream of gas with supersonic velocity. The central part is surrounded by a more peripheral part ( ) containing a number of second discharge openings ( ) spaced from each other and from said first discharge opening(s), the said second discharge openings being embodied to generate a gas flow with lower velocity than the core stream, preferably a velocity equal to sonic velocity, which gas flow surrounds the core stream and has the same direction as said core stream.

Silenced blowing nozzle

A coupling for a vehicle steering unit includes a first linking section including two leg portions extending from a hub portion and a second linking section including two wings extending from and integrated to the hub portion and protrusions on the wings pierced with holes for the passage of a tightening bolt for tightening the wings to bear radially on a shaft. The wings are terminated at a longitudinal slot extending substantially in parallel to an axis of rotation of the coupling. This longitudinal slot is wide enough to allow the passage of the shaft.

Coupling and method of manufacturing same

A tilting and/or telescopic steering column assembly includes a mounting bracket fixed to a vehicle body, a movable bracket supporting a steering column, a clamping bolt passing through bolt holes of the mounting bracket and movable bracket, and an operating lever for clamping the movable bracket immovable between the left and right side walls of the mounting bracket by turning a clamping nut on the clamping bolt. For tilting and/or telescopic adjustment, the bolt hole of at least one of the mounting and movable brackets is elongated, and fringed with a toothed portion. A lock member is mounted on the clamping bolt, and is formed with a toothed portion for engaging with the toothed portion of the elongate hole. In one practical example, the bolt holes are both elongated and fringed with a toothed portion, and the lock member comprises of a first member for engaging with the toothed portion of the mounting bracket and a second member for engaging with the toothed portion of the movable bracket.

Adjustable steering column assembly for a vehicle

A mobile working platform, particularly a so-called under-bridge lift, comprising a parallelogram type boom which is horizontally and vertically pivoted to a vehicle and which at its end facing away from the vehicle has a turntable which is rotatable by means of a hydraulic motor and at its circumference supports the angular end of an inner arm which is vertically pivotable by means of a piston and cylinder assembly which is mounted adjacent to the circumference of the turntable approximately diametrically opposite the mounting point of the inner arm. By means of a hydraulic cylinder, the inner arm is vertically pivoted to an intermediate arm which by means of a further hydraulic cylinder is vertically pivoted to an outer arm which vertically pivotally supports a platform or cage. Between the turntable and the platform or cage, motion transfer means in the form of rods and chains extend to keep the platform or cage in a horizontal position independently of the angle of inclination of the boom and arms.

Mobile working platform

An oil separator connected to a machine operating with pulsating compressed air for separating an oil mist which is otherwise expelled together with the air and is let out in the ambient atmosphere when the compressed air is drained from the machine, the oil separator consists essentially of a tube or hose open at each end and connected at one end to the air outlet of the machine operating with compressed air, a tubular scraper sleeve (3) coaxially mounted in said tube through the other end and spaced radially therefrom, said tubular scraper sleeve extending substantially inside said tube or hose and some distance outside said tube or hose thereby forming an annular space between the overlapping portions of said sleeve and said tube or hose thereby providing free flow areas in said tube or hose, said sleeve and the annular space between the tube or hose and the sleeve, said annular space being provided with a plurality of channels surrounding said scraper sleeve and opened at each end so as to permit free flow therethrough, said channels extending substantially co-axially with the flow direction of the air between the overlapping portions of scraper sleeve and the tube or hose in which channels condensed oil is collected and moved out of the channels with a little portion of the air stream, whereas the main portion of the air flow is let out through the scraper sleeve.

Apparatus for removing oil from compressed air

A sound absorber or silencor for sound from outlets of air or gas comprising a tube or flexible hose (2) which is connected to an outlet (1) of air or gas and which contains a sound absorbing body (3), whereby the tube or hose (2) and the sound absorbing body (3) can move more or less freely in relation to each other and/or in which the tube or hose (2) together with the sound absorbing body (3) is made easily flexible. Preferably both the outer hose (2) and the sound absorbing body are flexible and the sound absorbing body is movable inside the hose (2). The sound body (3) can be a strong, threads, fibres, loops etc. of plastic, metal, natural fibres or similar material.

Apparatus for damping noise from exhaust air outlets

A combined sound damper and oil trap for compressed air apparatus comprising an oil trap having a hose or tube (5) which is directly connected to the compressed air apparatus and which at the outer end thereof encloses a scraper sleeve (7), whereby a radial space is formed between the scraper sleeve (7) and the hose or tube. The hose or tube is connected to an oil collector housing (1) whereas the scraper sleeve (7) is connected to a pressure chamber (2) which in turn directly communicates with a filter housing (3) containing a sound damper. The said sound damper comprises both a diffusor plate (11) provided between the pressure chamber and the filter housing (3) and a filter (12) which is mounted at the outlet end of the filter housing. The diffusor plate (11) provides a damping of low frequency noise and a substantially even distribution of the outlet air over the entire diffusor plate, and the filter (12) provides both a separation of oil mist from the outlet air and a damping of high frequency noise.
