An energy storage module includes a plurality of energy storage devices electrically connected together in series; and a plurality of electronics boards distributed across the module, in electrical contact with one or more of the energy storage devices. The module further includes a plurality of flexible printed circuit boards whereby each of the plurality of electronics boards are electrically connected together in series with a neighboring one of the plurality of electronics boards by a different one of the flexible printed circuit boards. For each electronics board and for each flexible printed circuit board, a ground plane is provided, whereby the ground planes provide electrical grounding at substantially the same potential across all the electronics boards and all the flexible printed circuit boards.

Energy storage module

A DC energy storage module has a plurality of DC energy storage devices electrically connected in series; an internal control unit in the DC energy storage module; and a power supply for the internal control unit. The power supply for the internal control unit includes one or more of the DC energy storage devices in the module, electrically connected to the internal control unit through a rectifying unit.

A capacitor bank includes a plurality of capacitors; a plurality of resistors, each of the capacitors being in series with at least one of the resistors; and a plurality of diodes, each of the diodes being in parallel with one of the resistors. A device comprising an electrically conductive surface portion is provided for immersion in an electrically conductive liquid such as water. At least one load electrode is provided for supplying an electric load current into the electrically conductive liquid. Further, an electrode, e.g., one or more of the at least one load electrode acts as protection electrode. A protection current source, e.g., a resistor, is electrically coupled to the conductive surface portion and to the protection electrode for providing a protection current flowing between the electrically conductive surface portion and the electrode. Further, the protection current source is adapted for changing the protection current in response to a change in the load current.

A subsea fuse assembly is provided. The subsea fuse assembly is adapted to be operated in a pressurized environment. The subsea fuse assembly includes an enclosure adapted to be filled with a dielectric liquid, and a pressure compensator including a flexible element for pressure compensation. The subsea fuse assembly also includes a first penetrator and a second penetrator each passing through a wall of the enclosure for leading a first electric conductor and a second electric conductor, respectively, into the enclosure. The subsea fuse assembly includes a fuse arranged inside the enclosure and connected between the first electric conductor and the second electric conductor.

Furthermore, an electric device has at least one such capacitor () in a device housing, whereby the device housing is filled with an electrically insulating liquid.
