The invention relates to an impregnation resin mixture and to the use thereof. In one embodiment, an impregnation resin mixture includes a) at least one epoxide resin component selected from the group consisting of polyepoxides based on bisphenol A and/or F, and advancement resin produced therefrom, based on epoxidized halogenated bisphenols and/or epoxidized novolaks and/or polyepoxide esters based on phthalic acid, hexahydrophthalic acid, or based on terephthalic acid, epoxidized polyaddition products from dicyclopentadiene and phenol or cycloaliphatic compounds, b) as reactive diluents, 2 to 30 wt. % lactones with respect to the sum of the epoxy resin components, c) BCI3 and/or BCI3 complexes and/or a compound selected from the group of imidazoles and d) optionally additional additives, wherein the impregnation resin mixture does not contain any carboxylic acid anhydrides.

Impregnation resin mixture

Disclosed is a method of preparing a bio-based thermosetting foam material with improved properties, in particular improved flame retardant properties, which method includes the steps of a) producing a prepolymer by condensation of at least one phenolic compound and formaldehyde in a ratio of 1:1.0 to 3.0 using 0.15 to 5 wt % of an alkaline catalyst in the temperature range of 50 to 100&#xb0; C. until the refractive index of the reaction mixture is 1.4990 to 1.5020, b) adding 2 to 40 wt % of at least one natural polyphenol at a temperature of 50 to 100&#xb0; C., c) adding 2 to 10 wt % of one or more emulsifiers and mixtures thereof, d) adding 2 to 10 wt % of one or more foaming agents and mixtures thereof and e) adding 10 to 20 wt % of a curing agent and f) curing. All wt % being related to the amount of the raw materials used.

Foam material on the basis of phenolic resin

The invention relates to watery resin dispersions, a process for their manufacture, and a product. To make available resin dispersions that do not pollute the environment during their processing, while simultaneously generating products that have a high glass transition temperature, it is suggested that the watery resin dispersion contain at least components (I), (II) and (III), whereby R: unsubstituted single or polynuclear aromatic rest or with amino groups and/or cyano groups and/or nitrile groups and/or with saturated and/or unsaturated aliphatic Cto Ccarbon chains substituted single or polynuclear aromatic rests R, Rand R: hydrogen, alkyl residue group with up to 15 C atoms or aromatic rest whereby R, Rand Rcan be equal to or different from each other, (II) is a co-dispersion agent based on epoxide resins and/or novolak resins and (II) one surfactant.
