Embodiments of the disclosure relate to systems and methods to evaluate performance of a fluid transport system. Towards this end, a performance report of the fluid transport system can be generated by estimating various performance parameters at an outlet of a heat exchanger in lieu of using sensor data obtained directly from the outlet of the heat exchanger. Specifically, in one exemplary implementation, sensor data is obtained from an inlet of the heat exchanger and an outlet of a downstream element that is coupled to the heat exchanger, for estimating the various performance parameters at the outlet of the heat exchanger. The estimated performance parameters can then be combined with empirical data and predictive data for generating the performance report of the fluid transport system.

Evaluating performance of a fluid transport system using limited sensor data

An ejector for a sealed system includes a motive liquid passage with a converging section, a throat and a diverging section. The throat of the motive liquid passage is disposed between the converging section of the motive liquid passage and the diverging section of the motive liquid passage. The ejector also includes a plurality of nucleation sites at the converging section of the motive liquid passage.

Ejector for a sealed system

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit is provided. The packaged terminal air conditioner unit includes a casing. A compressor, an interior coil, an exterior coil and a reversing valve are positioned within the casing. The reversing valve is configured for selectively reversing a flow direction of compressed refrigerant from the compressor. The packaged terminal air conditioner also includes at least one ejector for combining a stream of refrigerant from a primary loop with a stream of refrigerant from an auxiliary cooling loop, thereby improving system efficiency.

Packaged terminal air conditioner unit

A packaged terminal air conditioner unit is provided. The packaged terminal air conditioner unit includes a casing. A compressor, an interior coil, an exterior coil and a reversing valve are positioned within the casing. The reversing valve is configured for selectively reversing a flow direction of compressed refrigerant from the compressor. The packaged terminal air conditioner also includes at least one phase separator and at least one ejector.

Water heater appliances and methods for operating water heater appliances are provided. A water heater appliance includes a tank defining an interior volume, and a sealed system for heating water within the interior volume. The sealed system includes a compressor operable to compress refrigerant, and a first condenser downstream of and in fluid communication with the compressor. The first condenser is operable to heat water within the interior volume using energy from the refrigerant. The sealed system further includes a second condenser downstream of and in fluid communication with the first condenser. The second condenser is operable to heat water within the interior volume using energy from the refrigerant. The sealed system further includes an evaporator between and in fluid communication with the second condenser and the compressor.
