Method and apparatus for storing travel luggage

A process is provided for the automated conveying, sorting and loading of baggage items in airports having a baggage-conveying facility conveying baggage from a check-in region to a baggage area, from where they are transported for loading into aircraft. In a first step, a flight destination and travel class as well as weight, shape, volume and consistency of each baggage item are recorded and registered. In a second step, the recorded baggage data are entered into a computer system (packing computer) which divides the baggage items into predetermined classes and determines optimum assignment to loading devices in accordance with classification and flight destination. In a third step, the baggage items handled in this way are transported to loading stations for loading in accordance with the defined assignment and, in a fourth step, are loaded there into a loading device essentially in an automated manner. Process and configuration for the automated conveying, sorting and loading of baggage items

The invention relates to a moving contact which has a sliding contact for the transmission of electrical power from an overhead line to an electrically powered vehicle. The overhead line can cause damage to the sliding contact, since the overhead line can be deflected vertically due to the influence of external forces. In order to prevent such damaging effects on the sliding contact, the moving contact is equipped with at least two height adjusting components. According to the invention, at least one passively sprung component and at least one component whose height can be controlled are installed between the electrically powered vehicle and the sliding contact.

An apparatus for regulating the engine unit and checking the catalyst includes a lambda sensor disposed in the exhaust line between the engine unit and the catalyst. A first line is connected to the lambda sensor. A diagnosis and engine control unit is connected to the first line for receiving output signals of the lambda sensor. A sensor unit is downstream of the output of the catalyst. A second line delivers output signals of the sensor unit to the diagnosis and engine control unit. A third line delivers output signals of the diagnosis and engine control unit to the engine unit.
