Proposed is a hand-held cooling device for supplying a cryogen to a target region for cryotherapy. The device can include a cryogen container configured to contain a first cryogen having a first temperature and a nozzle configured to spray a first modified cryogen to the target region, the first modified cryogen having a second temperature higher than the first temperature. The device can also include a cryogen temperature regulator configured to receive the first cryogen and output the first modified cryogen to the nozzle, the cryogen temperature regulator disposed closer to the nozzle than the cryogen container. The cryogen temperature regulator can include a holder tube, a porous structure disposed inside a holder tube and a heater disposed around the holder tube and heating the holder tube so as to increase the first temperature to the second temperature while the first cryogen passes through the porous structure.

A device and a method for cooling living tissues for a medical purpose and other purposes are proposed. The device may include a container configured to accommodate a cooling medium, the container including a plurality of divided members each having a contact surface which is thermally coupled with the cooling medium. The device may also include a cooling generator configured to provide cooling energy to the container, and disposed on another surface of the divided member other than the contact surface. The device may further include a lubricating member provided to the contact surface of the divided member, wherein the container is configured to be thermally coupled with the cooling medium via the lubricating member.

This application relates to a cooling device that sprays a coolant received from a coolant reservoir toward a target region to cool the target region. In one aspect, the cooling device includes a spraying unit from which the coolant is sprayed, a valve configured to regulate a flow of the coolant, and a control unit configured to control opening and closing of the valve, wherein, when cooling starts. An embodiment of the present invention provides a medical cooling device including a cooling medium configured to cool a target region through thermal contact with the target region, a cooling generator configured to supply cooling energy to the cooling medium, and a cooling medium accommodating unit that has one surface to which the cooling generator is attached and that is configured to thermally connect the cooling medium to the cooling generator, wherein a center-of-cooling-power region is disposed in a region where the cooling medium and the cooling medium accommodating unit overlap and has a center of cooling power which is a center with respect to thermal conductivity of the center-of-cooling-power region, and a distance from a front end of the cooling medium to the center of cooling power is less than or equal to 30 mm.
