Systems, methods and computer readable media for live interactions in persistent conversations are described. In some implementations, a method can include receiving a communication message sent from a first user to a second user, wherein the communication message includes initiation of a live interaction. The method can also include generating a live interaction user interface element for display as part of a persistent conversation interface. The method can further include storing a representation of the live interaction in a conversation content section of a persistent conversation object when the live interaction ends. The method can include updating conversation state information of the persistent conversation object to reflect the receiving of the communication message and the storing of the representation.

Live interaction in persistent conversations

A merchant creates a record with a payment processor. As part of the record, the payment processor records identification codes for one or more merchant operators of the merchant system. The merchant operator, such as a vendor, presents their identification code to a user that desires to purchase a product from the vendor. The user's computing device receives the vendor's identification code, as well as transaction details for the desired purchase transaction. The payment processor receives a request from the user's computing device to process the purchase transaction. Based on the identification code received and the transaction details, the payment processor identifies the merchant record and verifies a financial account for the user. The payment processor provides an authentication to the user computer device, which includes an authorization indicator, such as a vendor password. After the vendor views the authorization indicator, the vendor can provide the product to the user.

The telecommunication device is further configured to determine whether to handle the audio input as a command, as a request of a telecommunication device application, or as a network search request, the determining being based on one or more user-configurable rules or priorities.

A device receives shared data that identifies resources shared by users of nearby devices. The device outputs a user interface that contains a private area and a public area. The public area includes one or more display elements. Each of the display elements in the public area represents one of the resources shared by one of the users of one of the nearby devices. A user of the device may move the display element that represents a given resource from the public area to the private area. When the user moves the display element to the private area, the device performs an action associated with the given resource.
