Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a method for generating an asset template. The method may include receiving asset type descriptive data from a client machine, creating an asset template for the asset type based on the asset type descriptive information, and storing the asset template in a network-based database. The creating of the asset template may include defining components of the asset type and a configuration of the components.

Structured hierarchical templates for modeling asset instances

An approach for electronic information collaboration allows the use of a mobile device to cause electronic information to be displayed on one or more projector display devices via a virtual projector. The use of a virtual projector allows electronic information to be displayed on multiple projector display devices and/or client devices. The approach may also include the use of collaboration clients and a collaboration server to provide additional functionality with respect to the electronic information including, for example, the ability for changes made to electronic information at one location to be propagated to another location. The approach also allows a mobile device to be used to establish a videoconferencing session between two or more videoconferencing sites. The approach may include generation and use of a locations map that displays icons that correspond to videoconferencing sites and that may be selected to establish a connection between videoconferencing sites.

Electronic information collaboration system

Methods and apparatus are disclosed for flexible presentation of Software As A Service (SAAS) applications to one or more client devices such as multi-function devices (e.g., MFPs). A management system receives presentation layout information for subscribed SAAS applications from users and administrators, generates a menu of subscribed SAAS applications for presentation to a user on a display of the client device, and transmits the menu to a client device for presentation to the user on a display of the client device. The management system may also provide for user/administrator customization of the menu of applications available to users, and for revocation of applications by an administrator of the management system.

Methods and apparatus for presentation of software as a service applications

An approach is provided for tracking the processing of electronic document data by network services. One or more network services receive, from a network device, such as a multi-function peripheral (MFP), electronic document data that represents one or more electronic documents. A trace network service determines whether tracing has been specified for the electronic document data. In response to determining that tracing has been specified for the electronic document data, the trace network service tracks the processing of the electronic document data by the one or more network services. The trace network service generates trace report data that indicates results of the processing of the electronic document data by the one or more network services. The trace network service also transmits the trace report data to one or more specified recipients.

Techniques are provided for allowing a user to create a document processing job (e.g., a print job, a scan job, a copy job, fax job) at a mobile device instead of at a document processing device, such as a printer, scanner, or copier. A cloud service interacts with the mobile device to retrieve job settings data from the mobile device. The cloud service generates a job identifier, associates the job identifier with job settings associated with the job settings data, and sends the job identifier to the mobile device, which displays the job identifier to the user. The user later enters the job identifier at the document processing device, which, in turn, uses the job identifier to request the job settings from the cloud service. The cloud service identifies the job settings based on the job identifier and sends the job settings to the document processing device.

Systems and methods presented herein provide for intelligent print options to a user selecting web content of search results provided by a search engine. For example, the user may choose to perform a search through a search engine by entering search criteria within a webpage of the search engine. The search engine may return the search results to the user's web browser via the search engine's webpage. Along with these results, print options may be provided to the user on the webpage. By selecting to automatically print one or more of the search results, the content of the selected result(s) may be converted to a printable format such that page numbers may be counted and returned to the user. Based on the number of pages, the user may make a more informed decision as to whether the user should print the content.

Intelligent print options for search engine results

Techniques for allowing multiple organizations to register form templates at a central repository are provided. The form templates are then available for other organizations that require filled-out forms to be processed. Each organization registers a different form template with a cloud service. Later, other organizations upload, to the cloud service, scanned versions of filled-out forms. For each uploaded scan data, the cloud service determines which form template best matches the format of the uploaded scan data. The cloud service extracts certain values from the scan data based on the matching form template. The cloud service stores the extracted values in association with the organization that sent the scan data. The cloud service allows other devices to retrieve the extracted values.
