A noninvasive of detecting patient-ventilator asynchrony that is easily adaptable to existing ventilator monitoring systems and provides timely and actionable information on the degree of patient asynchrony both during invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Display of, frequency spectra and the use of a measure of spectral organization, such as H/DC, allows for both manual and automatic adjustment of a ventilators to prevent or correct patient-ventilator asynchrony.

Method and system to detect respiratory asynchrony

A system is for identifying a selected target in a geographic model. The system includes a database configured to store electronically a geographic model, different target model types with respective model-type metadata associated therewith, and different unique targets with unique target metadata associated therewith. A processor cooperates with the database and determines a proposed type-match between a selected target, with selected target metadata associated therewith, and one of the plurality of different target model types stored in the database based upon the selected target metadata and the model-type metadata. The processor also generates updated selected target metadata based upon confirmation of the proposed type-match, and determines a proposed unique target-match between the selected target and one of the different unique targets based upon confirmation of the proposed type-match and based upon the updated selected target metadata and the unique target metadata.

An environmental condition detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with a database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image, and an environmental condition detector. The environmental condition detector may cooperate with the change detector for detecting the at least one environmental condition associated with the collected geospatial image based upon the change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The at least one environmental condition may include at least one weather condition, such as, for example, at least one of image obscuration and surface reflectivity. The at least one environmental condition may additionally or alternatively include at least one of a time of day and a time of year.

Environmental condition detecting system using geospatial images and associated methods

An accuracy enhancing system may include an image processor cooperating with a database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image, and an accuracy enhancer. The accuracy enhancer may cooperate with the change detector for generating at least one enhanced accuracy value corresponding to the at least one geospatial collection value based upon the change detected between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The airborne platform may traverse an actual flight path based upon a planned flight path, and the image processor may generate the reference geospatial image based upon a desired match with the collected geospatial image. The at least one geospatial collection value may be a geospatial collection sensor position, a geospatial collection sensor orientation or a geospatial collection sensor field-of-view.

Accuracy enhancing system for geospatial collection value of an image sensor aboard an airborne platform and associated methods

An image change detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with the database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, an image enhancer for enhancing at least one of the reference geospatial image and the collected geospatial image based upon at least one environmental condition, and a change detector cooperating with the image processor and the image enhancer. The change detector may detect a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image with at least one thereof enhanced by the image enhancer based upon the at least one environmental condition. The environmental condition may include a weather condition, a time of day, or a time of year. The environmental condition may be typically associated with the collected geospatial image.

Geospatial image change detecting system with environmental enhancement and associated methods

An image change detecting system may include an image processor cooperating with a geospatial scene model database for generating a reference geospatial image corresponding to the collected geospatial image, and a change detector cooperating with the image processor for detecting a change between the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image. The geospatial scene model database may include 3D scene model data, and the collected geospatial image and the reference geospatial image may each include respective 2D image data. The collected geospatial image may have at least one geospatial collection value associated therewith, and the image processor may generate the reference geospatial image based upon synthetically positioning a virtual geospatial image sensor within a geospatial scene model based upon the at least one geospatial collection value. The at least one geospatial collection value may include at least one of a geospatial collection position, a geospatial collection orientation, and a geospatial collection field-of-view.

Geospatial image change detecting system and associated methods

A three-dimensional (3D) volumetric geo-spatial querying system. The system can include a 3D GIS. The 3D GIS can include a database of geo-spatial data configured to store geo-spatial data using, not two-dimensional, but three-dimensional coordinates. The GIS further can include at least one database operation configured to process a database query against geo-spatial data stored in the database. Notably, the database operation can accept three-dimensional coordinates as part of the database query. Importantly, the 3D GIS can include a geo-spatial data encoder configured to encode the geo-spatial data prior to storing the geo-spatial data in the database. In particular, in one aspect of the present invention, the encoder can be a helical hyperspatial code encoder, or an oct-tree encoder.

Three-dimensional volumetric geo-spatial querying

Disclosed is a pulmonary artery catheter ('PAC') that is used in determining myocardial oxygen consumption. Myocardial oxygen consumption is of critical importance because decreased myocardial energy utilization during acute illness may lead to tissue hypoperfusion, multiple organ failure, and eventually death. The inventor has discovered that myocardial oxygen consumption is a function of the difference in oxygen levels in atrial and mixed venous blood. The invention has further discovered that differences in lactate, glucose or any other measurable blood concentration metabolite in atrial or superior vena cava and mixed venous blood can also be used in determining myocardial oxygen consumption.
