A method for manufacturing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene, including: reacting terephthaloyl chloride with diphenyl ether in a reaction solvent and in the presence of a Lewis acid, so as to obtain a product mixture including a 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex; contacting the product mixture with a protic solvent, so as to obtain a first phase containing the Lewis acid and a second phase containing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene; heating at least the second phase up to a maximum temperature, followed by cooling the second phase down to a separation temperature; subjecting at least the second phase to a solid/liquid separation step at the separation temperature, so as to recover solid 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene.

Ripening of 1,4-bis (4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene

A method for manufacturing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene, including: reacting terephthaloyl chloride with diphenyl ether in the presence of a Lewis acid, so as to obtain a product mixture including 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex, wherein the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex is, at least partly, in the form of a precipitate; carrying out a solid/liquid separation of the product mixture to obtain a cake comprising the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex precipitate; putting the cake in contact with a decomplexing solvent, wherein the decomplexing solvent is a protic solvent, so as to dissociate the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene-Lewis acid complex into 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene; and, recovering the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene. Also, a method for manufacturing a polyaryletherketone polymer starting from 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene manufactured by the above method.

Dissociation of 1,4-bis (4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene&#x2014;Lewis acid complex in a protic solvent

A method for manufacturing 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoylbenzene), including: providing a reactant mixture including terephthaloyl chloride, diphenyl ether and a Lewis acid in a solvent; reacting terephthaloyl chloride with diphenyl ether, so as to obtain a product mixture including a 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoylbenzene)-Lewis acid complex; wherein the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoylbenzene)-Lewis acid complex is dissolved in the solvent at a 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoylbenzene) weight concentration in the solvent which is higher than the saturation limit of the 1,4-bis(4-phenoxybenzoylbenzene)-Lewis acid complex during at least part of the step of reacting terephthaloyl chloride with diphenyl ether.

Method for manufacturing 1,4-bis (4-phenoxybenzoyl)benzene in supersaturation conditions

The invention refers to a process for rejuvenating a hydrotreating catalyst comprising a group VIB hydrogenation metal and/or a group VIII hydrogenation metal, which comprises the steps of: (a) regenerating the catalyst by contacting said catalyst with an oxygen containing gas at a temperature from about 300&#xb0; C. to 550&#xb0; C., (b) impregnating the regenerated carbon-reduced catalyst with an impregnation solution which comprises a mixture of water and a combination of MoOand HPO, (c) aging the impregnated catalyst and (d) drying the aged catalyst. The invention also refers to the rejuvenated catalyst obtained and its use for hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstocks.

Process for rejuvenating hydrotreating catalyst

The invention refers to a process for rejuvenating a hydrotreating catalyst comprising a group VIB hydrogenation metal and/or a group VIII hydrogenation metal, which comprises the steps of: (a) regenerating the catalyst by contacting said catalyst with an oxygen containing gas at a temperature from about 300&#xb0; C. to 550&#xb0; C. to obtain a regenerated carbon-reduced catalyst, (b) impregnating the regenerated carbon-reduced catalyst with a solution which consists of a mixture of water and citric acid, (c) aging the impregnated catalyst for at least 6 hours and (d) drying the aged catalyst. The invention also refers to the rejuvenated catalyst obtained and its use for hydrotreating hydrocarbon feedstocks.
