The invention concerns a method for reducing preheating time and for homogenizing temperatures in a passenger compartment, for example of a motor vehicle, wherein the preheating dynamics is improved, which consists in adjusting soft air diffusion air speed in an optimized range of values. In one embodiment, the air circulating device comprises at least a ventilator ( ) and at least a soft air diffusion conduit ( ), having at its open end an air permeable panel ( ) which ensures a soft air diffusion in the passenger compartment. The invention is characterized in that the ventilator, the conduit ( ) and the panel ( ) are dimensioned so that, at maximum ventilated air flow rate, the diffused air speed ranges between 2 and 5 m/s. The device further comprises at least a ventilation conduit ( ), said conduit being dimensioned so that, at maximum air flow blown by the ventilator, the air speed at the ventilating nozzles substantially ranges between 2 m/s and 10 m/s. The invention is applicable in particular to a motor vehicle passenger compartment.

Method for circulating an air flow in a passenger compartment by soft diffusion and device therefor

A heating and/or air-conditioning installation has a de-icing outlet with a de-icing opening adjoining a window, an air-diffusion element with a low output per unit surface area, and an air-distributing element. The air-distributing element has at least a first and a second position. In the first position it blocks the air-diffusion element to ensure de-icing of the window. In the second, it partially blocks the de-icing region so that the output per unit surface area via the de-icing region corresponds to diffusion at a low output per unit surface area, such that the de-icing region and the air-diffusion element provide air diffusion at a low output per unit surface area and their air flows mix.

Heating and/or air-conditioning installation having at least one de-icing outlet

The air conditioning installation has air treatment and distribution means in a housing with air outlets on an upper face. De-icing and central aeration ducts are in an oblong diffusion unit above the upper face of the housing and under the upper fascia of the dashboard. This upper fascia has a diffusing surface in excess of 1.5 dm and preferably in excess of 2.5 dm . In an embodiment, the diffusing surface is produced by multiple perforations.

Air conditioning installation for a vehicle, with gentle diffusion

In a technique for eliminating organic pollutants from the passenger compartment of a vehicle by photocatalysis, the upper face of the dashboard is covered with a layer of photocatalyst. This upper wall includes a plurality of orifices providing diffuse ventilation. The lower face of the dashboard also includes a layer of photocatalyst irradiated by a source of ultra-violet rays, the source being in a diffusion chamber.
