A core structure () for a composite panel for an aircraft, for example a door fairing for a landing gear bay, including a sandwich structure in which core cells () are sandwiched between first and second body sides (skins). The core cells are square or rectangular in shape and each have a void formed by cell walls (). The first and second body sides and the cell walls include laminated composite material of multiple layers. Drainage holes () in the cell walls form one or more direct drainage paths (P, P) for the flow of fluid from the core structure. The core cells include first and second sheets of cells reversibly mounted to each other, such that the void of each cell is formed in part by the first sheet and in part by the second sheet.

Composite core structures for aircraft

A temporary pintle support which can attach between upper prongs of a landing gear, and which is arranged to hold pintle pins prior to installation of the landing gear assembly at an aircraft. The pintle support is attached at the landing gear to align the pintle pins with their respective attachment bearings on each of the prongs. The pintle support may be removed once the pintle pins are fully inserted.

Pintle support and method of installing a landing gear assembly

A cradle for supporting an aircraft landing gear assembly is disclosed including a chassis for transporting the cradle and an arm movable between a stowed position and an elevated position with respect to the chassis. The arm has a set of clamps for securing the landing gear assembly to the cradle. In this way the landing gear assembly is held securely in the stowed position for storage and transport, and held securely in the elevated position for installation to an aircraft, such that damage to the landing gear assembly during transportation and installation is minimised.
