The present invention relates to a method and a system for aligning at least one part of a second digital image with at least one part of a first digital image comprising: dividing the at least one part of the first digital image into a plurality of tiles t_fi; dividing the at least one part of the second digital image into a plurality of tiles t_si; creating a plurality of correlation images fci; determining the position of a global maximum correlation value p_&#x3bd;' for each of the plurality of correlation images fci_&#x3bd;&#x2032;; calculating a plurality of first offset vectors fov, the offset vector fov_&#x3bd;&#x2033; representing the offset between the tile t_si&#x3bd;&#x2033; and the corresponding tile t_fi&#x3bd;&#x2033;; and aligning the at least one part of the second digital image with the at least one part of the first digital image by applying the corresponding first offset vectors fov.

Method for determining the positions of a plurality of objects in a digital image

System and method for distinguishing at least one first object from at least one second object in a plurality of digital images is provided. The at least one first object having received at least one molecule comprising genetic information, the at least one second object not having received a molecule comprising genetic information. The at least one molecule is configured to receive one of a plurality of fluorescent compounds in each of a plurality of cycles. The digital images being determined by an optical imaging system during emission of electromagnetic radiation by the fluorescent compounds, wherein the plurality of digital images comprises a plurality of series of images, each image of a series referring to the emission spectrum of a respective fluorescent compound and wherein the series of images is repeatedly taken for each of the plurality of cycles.

Object classification in digital images

A weighing device () has a weighing unit (), a control unit and at least one application unit (). The application unit is positioned within a secondary unit () that also has a receiving unit. The control unit has a unit for transmitting data. The weighing unit comprises load receivers () and a power transmitting unit. The secondary unit is placed on the load receivers, leaving a gap between the top side of the weighing unit and the bottom side of the secondary unit. The weighing unit transmits a power signal from the power transmitting unit to the receiving unit of the secondary unit through the gap and a control signal is transmitted from the data transmitting unit to the receiving unit of the secondary unit through the gap. The secondary unit, and in turn the application unit, is powered and controlled in a contactless manner.

A container is filled to a predetermined target mass of a free-flowing substance with the help of a device that dispenses measured doses of the substance. The device has a valve for variably adjusting the mass flow rate of the substance from a reservoir into the container. The device further includes a means for measuring the elapsed time from the beginning of the filling process, a balance for determining the mass of the substance in the container, and a controller unit for controlling the valve. The controller unit includes an adjustment module, and a memory unit wherein a desired mass flow rate is stored. Method and apparatus for the filling of target containers

An apparatus and a method detect the presence of solid particles in a liquid phase, where an at least partially transparent container encloses the solid particles and the liquid phase. The apparatus includes a camera to make digitized images in the form of arrays of pixels with their associated pixel values. The apparatus also includes an agitator device to hold the container and to impart movements to the container, transmitting kinetic energy to the mixture. The camera is aimed at a transparent portion of the container to take images of the mixture in motion. A processor unit, in electronic communication with the camera, receives and processes the digitized images of the mixture in motion, resulting in the generation of an analytical representation of the solid particles in the liquid. In this manner, the state of dissolution of the solid particles may be determined.

Apparatus and method for the detection of solid substances in a liquid phase

A container is filled to a predetermined target mass of a free-flowing substance with the help of a device that dispenses measured doses of the substance. The dispensing device has a valve for variably adjusting the mass flow rate of the substance from a reservoir into the container. The dispensing device further includes a device to measure the elapsed time from the beginning of the filling process, a balance for determining the mass of the substance in the container, and a controller unit with a valve control module. The controller unit includes an adjusting module, where a predetermined desired mass flow rate is stored. At an elapsed time, if the mass flow rate is smaller or larger than the desired mass flow rate, the flow rate is, respectively, increased or decreased by a flow rate adjustment. An adaptive filter of the controller unit determines the mass flow rate.
