The invention relates to a card with a device for recognizing interfering particles, in particular trash parts, neps, shell neps, thick spots and/or foreign parts in a carded fibre web. The device comprises at least one sensor stationarily disposed in a web guiding element, which is disposed at the transition from a doffer to a stripper roll. The at least one sensor detects the fibre web on the doffer.

In an apparatus at a spinning preparatory plant for detecting foreign objects, for example, pieces of cloth, tapes, string, pieces of sheeting and the like, in fibre material, the fibre material is transportable in an air flow through a fibre transport duct or a feed chute and an optical sensor system is associated with the duct or chute, the wall surfaces of which have at least one transparent region through which the sensor system detects the fibre-air flow. To permit the at least one transparent region to be kept clean in a simple manner during operation, and to permit an unobstructed detection of the foreign objects, the transparent region projects into the fibre-air flow and the fibre-air flow is able to flow along the transparent region in force-applying contact therewith.

Apparatus at a spinning preparatory plant for detecting foreign objects in fibre material

A detection apparatus in spinning preparation for detecting foreign objects of plastics material in or amongst fiber material. The apparatus includes a source of polarised light and a transport arrangement for transporting the fiber material such that the fiber material is irradiated by the polarized light source. An analyzer is arranged to render visible any change in a plane of polarization caused by the irradiation of the foreign objects of plastics material in or amongst the fiber material and a detector device is arranged to capture an image of contrast differences and/or color shifts in the fiber material rendered visible by the analyzer. The detection apparatus further includes an evaluating unit arranged to process the image to identify the foreign objects for removal.

Apparatus on a spinning preparation for detecting foreign objects of plastic material

In an apparatus for inspecting and evaluating fiber material, for example a sliver or fleece, an opto-electronic system, is provided across the width of a textile machine and scans the moving fiber material and converts the measured values into electronic signals. The system is in communication with an image-evaluating device which evaluates the raw data of the system. In order to produce an apparatus that is space-saving and permits a lower overall height combined with at least the same image quality, three or more imaging devices are provided side by side and, in relation to the unit of width, the number of cameras increases as the distance between objective and fiber sliver decreases.
