Hydraulic control device for an automated dual clutch transmission having first and second clutches with first and second sub-transmissions and also a gear shifting system. The hydraulic control device has a regulating unit that predetermines at least one regulated pressure and/or one regulated volume flow for actuating the first and second clutches and shifting system. The hydraulic control device has a switching device that is arranged between the regulating unit and the clutches or the shifting system, switching the regulated pressure or volume flow to the clutches or the shifting system. The regulating unit includes a first regulating valve and a second regulating valve that is connected to an oil pressure supply having a system pressure regulator and an electric oil pump.

Hydraulic control device and method for controlling a dual clutch transmission having a control device

A method is provided for monitoring the regulation of smooth running of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. The smooth running is regulated using at least one manipulated variable, which can be controlled by a control device, to influence the smooth running behaviour, and in which the measurement signals which correspond to temperatures on the catalytic converter are obtained.

Method for monitoring an internal combustion engine

A method for controlling the temperature of an exhaust gas treatment system in the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine in the region of a predetermined intended temperature, comprising a two-position device for varying the temperature of the exhaust gases, a device for measuring the actual temperature and a device for determining a quantity which approximately represents a value for the input of energy into the exhaust gas treatment system is described, as is an apparatus for putting the method into practice. The actual temperature is compared with the intended temperature in a two-step control element and an output signal is produced. From this output signal a modified output signal is produced and supplied to the varying device, such that in case of an output signal which indicates heating of the exhaust gas, if the energy input value is increasing this signal is modified in a direction effecting cooling of the exhaust gas, and/or that in the case of an output signal which indicates cooling of the exhaust gas, if the energy input value is decreasing this signal is modified in a direction effecting heating of the exhaust gas. Further, the two-step control can be formed so as to have accelerated response. By these measures a stable temperature control is obtained despite large time lags.

Method and apparatus for controlling the temperature of an exhaust gas treatment system

The invention relates to a method for operating a multicylinder internal combustion engine having a device, preferably an asymmetric swirl valve, located in the cylinder inlet passage and selectively movable by means of a control unit from a starting position into an effective position, for influencing the flow conditions in the cylinder inlet passage. In known methods the swirl control valve is brought into its effective position in a predetermined rotational speed/torque region and the engine is operated with a stoichiometric or rich mixture. Outside this region the swirl control valve is brought into its starting position and the engine is operated using a substantially stoichiometric or rich mixture. In contrast to this, a saving in fuel is obtained by bringing the swirl control valve into the starting position in a second predetermined rotational speed/torque region lying outside the predetermined first rotational speed/torque region and at the same time operating the internal combustion engine using a lean mixture.
