The disclosure relates to a transceiver physical layer interface. Example embodiments include a transmission line transceiver () comprising: first and second terminals (); a control module (); an amplifier module () connected between the control module () and the first and second terminals (); a switchable termination resistance circuit () connected between the first and second terminals (), the switchable termination resistance circuit () comprising a termination resistance () connected in series with a switch () controllable by the control module (); a pair of series connected resistors () connected between the first and second terminals (); a capacitor () connected between a node () connecting the pair of series connected resistors () and a common node (), wherein the control module () is configured to open the switch () to disconnect the termination resistance () during transmission of a signal via a transmission line () capacitively connected to the first and second terminals ().

Transceiver physical layer interface

The disclosure relates to a communications system having a transmitter and receiver connected via a transmission line. An example communications receiver () comprises: a pair of input connections () for connecting to a transmission line (); a termination resistance () equal to a characteristic impedance (Zc) of the transmission line (); an air core transformer () having an input coil () connected to the pair of input connections () via the termination resistance (); and a comparator circuit () connected to an output coil () of the air core transformer (), the comparator circuit () configured to provide an output signal () responsive to detection of voltage pulses across the output coil ().

Communications system

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a method and/or apparatus for use with battery cells having an actual voltage-sourcing level that is at or above a specified battery-output level. Switch circuitry is selectively activated for passing current, and a monitoring circuit is responsive to activation of the switching circuitry by distributing energy corresponding to an actual voltage-sourcing level of a particular one of the battery cells to a voltage node. A voltage-measurement circuit provides an indication of the actual voltage-sourcing level across the particular battery cell by ascertaining voltage differentials between the voltage node and respective voltage nodes of the battery cell, the ascertained voltage differentials being less than the specified battery-output level.

Battery monitoring

A method for processing a voltage signal relating to the pressure prevailing in a combustion chamber of a cylinder of an internal combustion engine, the signal, referred to as an 'input signal', having, in alternation, 'plateau' phases and main peak phases. The method includes a step (E) of rectification of the input signal such that the gradient of the base signal is zero, a step (E) in which the peaks of the rectified signal of which the amplitude is greater than a predetermined voltage value are clipped so as to obtain an at least partially clipped signal referred to as a 'clipped signal', a step (E) of detection of a main peak when the amplitude of the input signal is greater than the amplitude of the clipped signal, and a step (E_, E_) of compensation of the input signal in the absence of such a detection.
