A method for determining a body fluid glucose level of a patient from a continuous signal of a glucose sensor element of a continuous body fluid glucose monitoring device in a data processing unit, comprising receiving measurement data representing a continuous sensor signal provided by a glucose sensor element of a continuous body fluid glucose monitoring device in the data processing unit, receiving calibration data representing a time-dependent zero-signal level of the glucose sensor element in the data processing unit, determining a body fluid glucose level by processing at least the measurement data and the calibration data in the data processing unit, the processing comprising subtraction of the time dependent zero-signal level from the continuous sensor signal, and providing result data indicative of the continuous body fluid glucose level in the processing unit; and a system for determining a body fluid glucose level of a patient.

The present disclosure refers to a method for determining a blood glucose level for a patient, the method comprising detecting a present sensor signal in a present continuous interstitial blood glucose measurement for a patient; providing measurement data representing the present sensor signal; providing sensor signal correction data representing a patient-specific signal correction, the sensor signal correction data being determined from a former interstitial blood glucose measurement for the patient and comprising at least one of time delay data representing a patient-specific time delay &#x394;t between a blood glucose value measured in a continuous interstitial blood glucose measurement and a blood glucose reference value measured in a capillary blood glucose measurement, and sensor sensitivity data representing, for the patient, a patient-specific sensor sensitivity for the sensor, determining corrected measurement data representing a corrected present sensor signal by applying the sensor signal correction data to the present sensor signal; and determining a blood glucose level for the patient from the corrected measurement data.

Disclosed is a puncturing system for generating a puncture wound for obtaining a sample of a body fluid, comprising a press-on part to be pressed onto a body part in which a puncture wound is to be generated, a trigger, by the actuation of which a user can trigger a puncturing motion of a puncturing element after the press-on part is pressed on, and a testing facility for determining at least one test parameter on which a sample-obtaining probability depends. A securing facility is also provided that, in a locked state, locks the trigger such that no puncturing motion can be triggered, and, in a triggering state, releases the trigger such that a puncturing motion can be triggered by actuation thereof, whereby the securing facility is transitioned from the locked state to the triggering state by the testing facility when the test parameter determined by the testing facility meets defined minimum requirements. A signaling facility is also provided for signaling a transition of the securing facility to the triggering state and/or for signaling that the securing facility is in the triggering state. Also disclosed is a method for preparing a puncturing system for generating a puncture wound.

Puncturing system

The invention relates to a method for detecting a malfunction of a sensor for measuring an analyte concentration in vivo, wherein a series of measurement signals is produced by means of the sensor, and a value of a noise parameter is continually determined from the measuring signals, the noise parameter indicating how severely the measurement is impaired by interference signals. According to the invention, continually determined values of the noise parameter are used to determine how quickly the noise parameter changes, and the rate of change of the noise parameter is evaluated to detect a malfunction.

The present invention relates to a compression device for stimulating the efflux of a body fluid from a body part. The device has a compression unit with a pressure-application region made of a deformable material, the region being formed to generate a repulsive force between the body part and the compression unit. The repulsive force passes through a force maximum then decreases to serve as an indication that the body part is guided sufficiently firmly and far enough onto the compression unit.

System for withdrawing body fluid

A portable medical system is provided for the purposes of analysis and/or medication, the system having at least one of a medical monitoring device, an analysis device and a medication device. The portable medical system comprises at least one display element comprising at least one organic light-emitting diode display. An optimization device can be provided that comprises a brightness sensor and is configured to optimize the brightness, contrast and/or power consumption of the at least one display element. Furthermore, a monitoring device can be provided which monitors the functionality of the display element. The present invention provides an integrated measuring device that includes a blood collection system for collecting blood for diagnostic purposes. The blood collection system comprises an electric motor which provides energy for propelling a lancet. The blood collection system comprises a mechanical energy store in which the electric energy that is converted by the motor is stored in the form of mechanical energy. The use of a mechanical energy store allows the use of known mechanical drive elements. The blood collection system can also be electrically activated and is thus easy to use for the operator. The motor can also be coupled to another system component, such as a test strip or lancet drum, to operate it.
