A plug-side first electrical plug connector has at least two flat electrical contact elements arranged in parallel extending in a housing of the connector in the insertion direction of the connector for accommodating socket-side second plug connector in the direction of an opening of the housing. A plastic tip is formed on one end of a contact region of the contact elements, and at least one dome-like shock hazard protection element is provided in the housing, extending in the insertion direction adjacent to the contact elements and protrudes beyond the contact region of the contact elements. The plug connector is suitable for a motor vehicle inverter to supply power to an auxiliary unit of the motor vehicle, and provides shock hazard protection of the contact elements for a human finger and/or reliable operating security is provided.

Provided a connector for establishing an electrical connection between an electrical conductor and a printed circuit board. The connector includes an insulating element which has a plurality of cavities for accommodating contact elements. The printed circuit board can be inserted in the connector via a slot in a connection face of the insulating element and can be connected to the first contact faces of the contact element provided in the connection face. Opposite the first contact face, the contact elements have a second contact face which is provided for the insulation-piercing contacting of the electrical conductor. The arrangement of the contact elements in the insulating element allows a particularly space-saving design of the connector.

Wire and circuit board electrical connector

The present invention relates to a contacting unit (t) for electrical conductors or pin contacts (). Contacting units () of this kind are used for reversibly contacting said conductors or pin contacts () in an electrical and mechanical manner. In the present invention, the spring force that acts on a conductor or pin contact () to be connected can be variably adjusted. To this end, the free, spring-loaded length of a spring contact member () is varied by means of a sliding element (). As a result of the variation of the spring-loaded length of the spring contact member (), the spring force is increased in the case of a shortening and is correspondingly reduced in the case of an extension.

Contacting unit

In order to simplify the assembly of printed board connectors, there is provided an assembly aid that features one or more recesses in accordance with the dimensions of the printed board connectors, wherein one or more printed board connectors to be assembled on a printed board can be inserted into said recesses. The contact spacing on the printed board corresponds with the arrangement of the printed board connectors in the assembly aid such that an exact alignment of the printed board connectors is realized. The assembly aid remains on the printed board until the soldering process is completed, wherein this prevents, for example, flotation of SMD components.

A pressure guide for an electric connection between strip conductors on a circuit board and electric contacts arranged in an edge connector is provided. The pressing device aligns a circuit board guided between two guide bars by a spring element arranged in the one of the guide bars, such that the electric strip conductors applied on the circuit board exactly conform to the contacts arranged within the edge connector.

In a board-edge connector designed for directly contacting a printed board includes a ground connection between the printed board and the connector which engages before the printed board is completely mated and connected to the voltage supply. A grounding contact is arranged in one of the corner regions within the plug-in slot of the printed board connector, wherein the grounding contact is connected to a grounding strip on the printed board on which the printed board connector is fixed. During the mating process, the printed board, onto which a grounding strip is applied on at least one of the lateral edges within the mating region, slides past the grounding contact such that an electrostatic equalization between the printed board to be newly inserted and the connector takes place before the contacting of the remaining electric contacts.

In order to produce a plug-type connection between two circuit boards that are arranged parallel to one another, the invention proposes a coaxially designed connector that is simultaneously realized in the form of a hermaphroditic contact. This means that only one surface-mountable connector element is required which can be mated with a second connector element of identical design. The two collar-shaped connector elements () to be mated can be inserted into one another by means of notches () that are provided in the collar () for this purpose. The connector element () to be manufactured by means of injection moulding and the MID-technique preferably features a square, collar-shaped base body () with an electrically conductive coating and a separate electric signaling contact () that is arranged in insulating fashion in a contact holder () within the base body () such that effective shielding is also realized for the transmission of high frequency signals.

Precise contact guidance of contact decks on a printed circuit board relative to the electric contacts in a card edge connector, is achieved using a pressing spring within the slot of the card edge connector in such a way that it mechanically deflects the mating region of the printed circuit board into a position in which a precisely fitted coincidence of the respective contacts is expected before the electric contacting takes place.
