A contact member for an insulation displacement contact (IDC) terminal includes an encasement wall at least partially surrounding a receptacle volume receiving a wire or cable, an IDC member having an IDC blade penetrating an insulation of the wire or cable and a contact edge electrically contacting a core of the wire or cable, and a cutting blade cutting the wire or cable. The receptacle volume has an opening at least partially framed by the encasement wall. The IDC member is formed in a first wall section of the encasement wall. The cutting blade is formed in a second wall section of the encasement wall opposite the first wall section. Both the IDC blade and the cutting blade face the opening.

An electrical connector is disclosed. The electrical connector has a middle housing having a first upper contact spring and a first upper opening, an upper cover connected to the middle housing and having a first upper termination clamp, wherein the upper cover rotatably and linearly moves with respect to the middle housing between an open position and a closed position, and a cable having a first core, the first core extending into the first upper opening. In the closed position of the upper cover, the first upper termination clamp contacts the first core in an electrically conductive manner and abuts the first upper contact spring.

The present invention relates to a modular data transmission system which is constructed for contactless data transmission by means of electromagnetic waves having a wavelength in the millimeter range. A modular data transmission system according to the invention comprises a mounting rail, a first bus participant and a second bus participant. The first bus participant comprises a transmitting/receiving module. The second bus participant also comprises a transmitting/receiving module. The first bus participant and the second bus participant are releasably secured to the mounting rail so as to be able to be attached to each other, and the transmitting/receiving modules of the first and second bus participants are constructed in order to transmit data by means of electromagnetic waves having a wavelength in the millimeter range. Another modular data transmission system according to the invention comprises a mounting rail and at least a first bus participant. The mounting rail comprises at least one transmitting/receiving module. The first bus participant comprises a transmitting/receiving module and is releasably secured to the mounting rail. The mounting rail allows additional bus participants to be secured in an attachable manner to the first bus participant. Furthermore, the transmitting/receiving modules of the mounting rail and the first bus participant are constructed for data transmission by means of electromagnetic waves having a wavelength in the millimeter range.

Methods and systems are provided for a dry silicone gel in a closure or interconnect system. The dry silicone gel may be made by reacting a crosslinker, a chain extender, and a vinyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane. The reaction may be conducted in the presence of a catalyst. In certain embodiments, the dry silicone gel may comprise: (1) a hardness between 100 g and 300 g, (2) a stress relaxation between 30% and 60% when subjected to a deformation of 50% of the original size of the gel, (3) a compression set between 4% and 20% after 50% strain has been applied to the gel for 1000 hours at 70&#xb0; C., and/or (4) less than 10% oil bleed out under compression of 1.2 atm after 60 days at 60&#xb0; C.

Closure and interconnect systems and methods of using dry silicone gels in closure and interconnect systems

The present invention relates to high-current plug-in connectors, in particular to unipolar high-current plug-in connectors for wind turbine generator systems, which can be arranged beside one another in a space-saving manner and can also meet high requirements on the current-carrying capacity. According to the invention, this is achieved in that cross-sections of which the longitudinal extent exceeds the transverse extent are selected for the plug-in and coupling contact. This means that the dimension in the transverse direction can be restricted and simultaneously the cable cross-section and the contact surface required from an electrical point of view are provided by the increased longitudinal extent. Moreover, the plug and the coupling comprise a visible mechanical coding, which prevents accidental reversal of the polarity of adjacently arranged cables.

High-current plug-in connector

The present invention relates to high-current plug connectors, in particular to electrical contact elements for plug connectors of this type, which are distinguished by low heating even at high currents, and to a corresponding method for manufacturing contact elements of this type. According to the invention, for this purpose, the contact element is made in one piece by internal high-pressure forming from a tubular blank. As a result, the contact element has at each point substantially the same line cross section, so that no local electrical or thermal load peaks can occur.

A connecting device for connecting to an electrical connection system of a solar module includes a connector housing to be arranged on an outer surface of the solar module and also at least one conductor component, which is arranged in the connector housing. At least one connection mechanism is provided with connecting device, and formed for connecting to a conductor, which is led out of the solar module, of the electrical connection system of the solar module. The connection mechanism has at least one resilient contact region, which is embodied for contacting the led-out conductor in a contacting position, the connection mechanism also includes at least one engagement portion, which is embodied for engaging a tool in order to move the resilient contact region out of its contacting position. This allows the connector housing to be attached to the connector housing in a largely automated manner and to be connected to a led-out conductor of the connection system.

A connecting device that connects to at least one external electrical conductor of a photovoltaic solar module. The connecting device includes a plurality of busbars, a support element, a housing, a diode and a contact. The plurality of busbars are arranged next to one another, while the support element is attached to the plurality of busbars and includes a bottom face to be positioned on the solar module. The housing is positioned over the support element and the plurality of busbars and includes an edge surrounding the support element and the plurality of busbars when the overhousing is positioned on the solar module. The diode fits onto the plurality of busbars and includes diode leads that fit onto one of the plurality of busbars, such that the plurality of busbars are connected together through the diode.

Connecting device for connecting an electrical conductor to a solar module and method for the production thereof, together with a solar module with such a connecting device

A solar module having a housing and a solar element is described, wherein the housing comprises a connecting element, which is connected to the contact surface of the solar element in an electrically conductive manner. Furthermore the connecting element is connected to electrical connection sockets, by means of which connecting conductors may be connected. A contact element which is biased against the contact surfaces of the solar elements is arranged between the connecting element and the contact surfaces of the solar element as a contact element. As a result of this, soldered, clamped or screwed connections between the solar element and the connecting element are unnecessary. A simple and cost-effective automated production of the solar module is thus made possible.

An electrical connecting device includes a housing having a receiving channel that receives an electrical conductor. A contact element is seated in the housing. The contact element has a piercing element extending into the receiving channel that electrically contacts the electrical conductor.
