A screw including a shank, at least one screw thread, which is arranged on the shank, winds around the shank and protrudes from the shank, and a separate helix element, which is arranged non-monolithically on the shank, wherein the separate helix element winds around the shank, protrudes from the shank, and constitutes at least a section of the at least one screw thread. The screw further includes at least one first claw, which projects from the shank, and which has both radial and axial overlap with the separate helix element, wherein the shank and the at least one first claw are monolithic with respect to one another.

An expansion anchor having an anchor bolt, an expansion sleeve surrounding the anchor bolt, and an expansion body located in a front region of the anchor bolt, wherein the expansion body has a converging zone for expanding the expansion sleeve. The expansion body has at least one expansion sleeve abutment wall facing the expansion sleeve. The invention also relates to a method for using such an expansion anchor.

A drill bit includes a drill bit head, a multi-strand helix made up of three or more helix ribs, and a shank end along a drill bit axis. The multi-strand helix is made up of a conveyance area, a helix gradient, and a pitch. The invention also relates to expansion anchors, which may be obtained with the aid of the method according to the invention, in particular bolt-type anchors having closed annular expansion sleeves and, in particular, anchors having expansion sleeves with protruding noses, which are each situated on a closing fold of the expansion sleeve.

A drill bit that serves to remove mineral materials and that consecutively has on a longitudinal axis () a drill head (), a helix (), an insertion end () and an impact surface () on the end face of the insertion end () that faces away from the drill head () and that serves to absorb impact along a direction of impact (), is provided. The drill head () has at least two cutting edges () and at least two blades (). The cutting edges () each have a cutting face () and a free face (). The blades () run parallel to the longitudinal axis () and adjoin the cutting edges (). The blades () each have a radially projecting tooth () that adjoins the cutting face (), whereas it adjoins the free face () either only partially or not at all. The axial dimension () of the tooth () is smaller than the axial dimension () of the blade ().

Drill bit

A method for producing a drill includes cold forming of a rod-shaped blank to form a semifinished product having three or more rectilinear longitudinal ribs extending along a longitudinal axis of the semifinished product, introducing the longitudinal ribs into a first die and a second die in a working direction, where the first die bears against the longitudinal ribs in a direction of rotation about the longitudinal axis and the second die bears against the longitudinal ribs counter to the direction of rotation, pivoting the first die in the direction of rotation in relation to the second die in order to twist the longitudinal ribs between the first and second dies, pulling the longitudinal ribsthrough the pivoted first die and the second die counter to the working direction in order to twist the longitudinal ribs and apply a drill head to the rear end in the working direction.

A method for producing a twist drill has the following steps. A blank is shaped to form a semi-finished product. The semi-finished product is formed from a core, coaxial with the drill axis, having a radius and a number of webs, arranged on the core, having a height. The semi-finished product has a constant cross section along the drill axis. The webs have a first portion which adjoins the core and in which a width of the web remains constant or decreases in the circumferential direction with increasing radial distance from the drill axis. The webs have a second portion which adjoins the first portion and in which the width of the web increases in the circumferential direction with increasing radial distance from the drill axis. The webs of the semi-finished product are shaped into helical segments using a plurality of rolling tools that annularly enclose the semi-finished product and roll on the webs along the drill axis. The rolling tools have teeth that are inclined with respect to the drill axis. A height of the helical segments is less than the height the webs. Helical segments formed from adjacent webs are in contact with one another in a closing fold. The invention also relates to a twist drill.

Twist drill and production method

The twist drill () has a drilling head (), a continuous two-flute, three-flute to six-flute helix () and an insertion end () that are arranged consecutively on a drill axis (). The helix () has a radial outer dimension () that varies periodically two, three to six times per revolution around the drill axis (). The invention also relates to a production method for such a drill.

A method for producing a profile from a sheet-metal strip is disclosed. The sheet-metal strip is bent at least twice during a first stage, where, as viewed in the cross-section of the sheet-metal strip, a center section as well as two flank sections are formed, which project angularly from two opposing end regions of the center section. During a second stage following the first stage, the center section is compressed by two complementary roller arrangements which engage on the two opposing end regions of the center section, and the sheet-metal strip is thereby locally thickened.
