A fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is provided, which injector includes a valve needle having at its spray-discharge end a valve-closure member, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-seat member to form a sealing seat. At least one swirl channel is provided in a section of the valve-seat member surrounding the valve needle, and at least one spray-discharge orifice is provided in the valve-seat member. The at least one swirl channel, when viewed through the swirl channel in the flow direction of the fuel, is inclined counter to the spray-discharge direction relative to the center axis of the valve needle.

Fuel injection valve

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a valve needle and a valve closing body, which is operationally linked to it and cooperates with a valve seat face situated in a valve seat body to form a sealing seat. Upstream from the sealing seat there is at least one swirl channel, which has a tangential component relative to the longitudinal axis of the fuel injector. An axial channel, which is formed between the valve closing body and the guide recess of the valve seat body, has an axial component relative to the longitudinal axis of the fuel injector, the axial channel being formed between the guide recess and at least one flattened area on the valve needle.

Fuel injector

A fuel injector, in particular for a high-pressure injector for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, has compression of a fuel/air mixture with spark ignition. On the downstream end of the valve a valve seat element is provided, to which a perforated disk acting as a flow restrictor is connected downstream. A swirl element is situated upstream from the valve seat which imparts an atomization-promoting rotational motion to the fuel to be injected. In the valve seat element downstream from the valve seat, an elongated outlet orifice is provided which opens directly into an orifice in the perforated disk attached to the valve seat element. The width of the outlet orifice is greater than the width of the orifice in the perforated disk, at least at its narrowest location, so that it is possible to adjust the steady-state flow rate of the valve at the orifice.

Fuel injector, in particular, a fuel injector for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine is described having an actuator for actuating a valve needle, the valve needle having on an injection-side end a valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface, which is formed on a valve-seat member. Fuel channels are arranged in a valve needle guide, connected to the valve-seat member or designed as a single piece with it, in several rows circumferentially in the valve needle guide, at least one row of fuel channels being arranged, in the resting state of the fuel injector, above a guide line of the valve-closure member.

Fuel-injection valve

The invention relates among others to a method for producing outlet openings ( ) in a valve, in particular a fuel injection valve. The injection valve has a fuel inlet ( ), an excitable actuating device ( ) by which a valve closing member ( ) is movable, a fixed valve seat ( ) embodied on a valve seat element ( ), with which seat the valve closing member ( ) cooperates to open and close the valve, and at least one outlet opening ( ), as a fuel outlet, provided downstream of the valve seat ( ). The at least one outlet opening is produced in such a way that in a first method step, a through hole is created in the valve seat element ( ), and in a second method step, from the ejection end of the through hole, an outlet region is created that is altered in shape and/or size and/or contour compared to the through hole.

Fuel injection valve and a method for manufacturing exit outlets on the valve

A fuel injector, in particular for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, includes a valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface which is formed on a valve-seat member, and several injection orifices, each of which is connected with at least one spiral groove so that an outer edge of the swirl grooves coincides in part with a circumferential edge of the injection orifices. The swirl grooves extend generally perpendicular to a center line of the injection orifice associated with them.

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines and a method of manufacturing same are described. The fuel injector includes a valve seat body into which a valve seat face is introduced, which cooperates with a valve closing body to form a sealing seat, and a nozzle body to which the valve seat body is fixedly connected. The valve seat body is insertable into the interior of the nozzle body and on its downstream side it has a partially spherical outside geometry, which rests on a bearing surface of a seat body recess in the nozzle body. Valve seat body is mounted so it can rotate relative to the nozzle body on the bearing surface until its position is finally secured, and it may be aligned by a centering mandrel.

Fuel injector and corresponding production method

A fuel injector, for example, for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a valve-closure member, which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface constructed on a valve-seat member, and having a swirl disk with fuel passages, the swirl disk being constructed from a plurality of swirl elements, each of the swirl elements having the same number of fuel passages. The swirl elements are offset with respect to one another, so that the fuel passages at least partially overlap.

A fuel injector, in particular for the direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing, externally fired internal combustion engine, comprising, upstream from a valve-seat surface, a swirl disk provided with swirl channels from which, given an open fuel injector, the fuel flows with a circumferential speed into a swirl chamber which is also located upstream from the valve-seat surface. Each point downstream from the swirl disk ( ) through which a flow is to pass has a larger extension in every spatial direction than the diameter of the swirl channels.

Fuel injection

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines includes a valve needle and a valve-closure member mechanically linked to it, which cooperates with a valve-seat surface situated in a valve-seat member to form a sealing seat, and at least one swirl-producing element which is situated upstream from the sealing seat in the valve-seat member. One or more swirl channels which are open toward the upstream side of the valve-seat member are incorporated into the upstream side of the valve-seat member as a swirl-producing element.

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines has a valve needle ( ) and, mechanically linked thereto, a valve closing body ( ), which cooperates with a valve seat surface ( ) disposed in a valve seat body ( ) to form a sealing seat, and has a plurality of recesses ( ), which are introduced in the valve seat body ( ) downstream from the sealing seat. Situated downstream on the valve seat body ( ) is a flow-through screen ( ) in which, for each recess ( ), at least one discharge orifice ( ) is introduced, whose cross-section is smaller than that of the particular recess ( ) and which is positioned such that its inlet cross-section is situated fully within the outlet cross-section of the particular recess ( ).

A swirl disk distinguishes itself in that it has at least one inlet region and at least one outlet opening, the at least one outlet opening being introduced in a bottom base layer. The swirl disk also has at least two swirl channels, which empty into a swirl chamber, the swirl chamber being provided in a swirl-generating layer. The swirl channels being situated and positioned such that when a fluid flows through, at least two swirl flows are generated next to one another in opposite directions, each one having its own jet branch. The swirl disk is particularly suitable for use on a fuel injector, in particular a high-pressure injector for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing, spark-ignition internal combustion engine.

A fuel injector, in particular for direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having an actuator for actuating a valve needle, the valve needle having on one injection end a valve-closure member which forms a sealing seat together with a valve-seat surface formed on a valve-seat member. Fuel channels are provided in a valve needle guide which is designed in one piece with or is connected to the valve-seat member and they open into a swirl chamber. The number of fuel channels is such that a turbulent flow produced in the swirl chamber is homogeneous in a circumferential direction.
