A nozzle in a vehicle includes a nozzle insert to provide pulsed flow of a cleaning agent from an outlet to clean a sensor of the vehicle. The nozzle also includes a cleaning agent supply line to provide the cleaning agent to an inlet of the nozzle insert.

A charge air cooler (CAC) condensation dispersion system including a compressor for generating a hot compressed air flow; a CAC having an inlet tank for receiving the hot compressed air flow and an outlet tank for discharging a cooled compressed air flow; a condensate pickup tube having an inlet disposed in a lower volume of space within the outlet tank and an opposite outlet; and a condensate conveyance tube having a first end connected to the outlet of the pickup tube and an opposite second in in fluid connection with the inlet of the compressor. A solenoid actuated control valve is disposed in-line with the condensate conveyance tube. A controller configured to send a signal to the solenoid valve to selectively cycle the control valve between an open state and a closed state. An in-line orifice plate is disposed adjacent the second end of the condensate conveyance tube.

The present disclosure provides a turbocharger which reduces noise generated from the wastegate. The turbocharger includes a turbocharger housing, a rotary assembly, and a wastegate door. The turbocharger housing defines a wastegate opening, a resonator proximate to the wastegate opening, a compressor inlet, a compressor outlet, a turbine inlet, and a turbine outlet. The rotary assembly includes a turbine and a compressor attached to one another by a shaft wherein the rotary assembly is disposed in the turbocharger housing. The wastegate door may be moveably affixed to the turbocharger housing.

A mass airflow sensor according to the present disclosure includes a housing, a sensor element, and a flow deflector. The housing defines an airflow passage configured to receive air flowing in a first direction. The sensor element is disposed in the airflow passage and generates a signal indicating a mass flow rate of air flowing through the airflow passage. The flow deflector is disposed in the airflow passage downstream of the sensor element, extends from an inner wall surface of the airflow passage, and is configured to inhibit air flow through the airflow passage in a second direction that is opposite of the first direction.

An exhaust manifold for a vehicle engine may include a plurality of pipes, a pod, a splined collector and a downpipe. Each pipe in the plurality of pipes are operatively configured to be coupled to a corresponding engine chamber at a proximate portion. The pod is operatively configured to align a flow of exhaust gas emerging from each of the corresponding engine chambers to the associated pipe in the plurality of pipes. The splined collector receives the outlet ends of the pipes at a splined collector inlet. The downpipe may be affixed to the splined collector at a small diameter outlet portion. The downpipe includes a first oxygen sensor operatively configured to communicate with a second oxygen sensor disposed in a downstream catalytic converter and an ECM in order to regulate air and fuel for the vehicle engine.

A gas compressor assembly configured to pressurize an airflow received from the ambient for delivery to an internal combustion engine having a cylinder includes a compressor housing. A compressor wheel is disposed inside the compressor housing and configured to pressurize the airflow. A compressor bypass is configured to direct the pressurized airflow away from the cylinder. A pressure relief valve is configured to selectively open and close the compressor bypass to thereby limit pressure of the pressurized airflow and minimize surge of the compressor wheel. A baffle arranged inside the compressor bypass is configured to dissipate energy of a sound wave generated by the pressurized airflow upon an initial opening of the pressure relief valve. An internal combustion engine employing such a turbocharger is also disclosed.
