A trackpad includes: a substrate; a circuit board coupled to the substrate for detecting a position of an object adjacent the substrate; a haptic feedback component coupled to the circuit board; a first plate coupled to the circuit board; a second plate including a spring element, a spacer coupling the circuit board and the spring element to each other, the spring element facilitating first movement of the substrate, the circuit board and the first plate relative to the second plate, the spacer facilitating second movement of at least the substrate and the circuit board by the haptic feedback component; and a capacitive force sensor that detects a capacitance of the first plate and the second plate. A trackpad can include a circuit board coupled to the substrate and including the first plate.

A trackpad includes: a substrate; a circuit board coupled to the substrate for detecting a position of an object adjacent the substrate, the circuit board including a first plate; a second plate including a spring element, wherein a spacer couples the circuit board and the spring element to each other, the spring element facilitating first movement of the substrate and the circuit board relative to the second plate; and a capacitive force sensor that detects a capacitance of the first plate and the second plate. A method of assembling a lancet housing assembly comprising multiple lancets for use in a portable handheld medical diagnostic device for sampling bodily fluids from a skin site of a patient is disclosed. The method includes forming a plurality of lancet structures in a lancet sheet. The lancet sheet has a removable ledge for releasing the lancet structures. The removable ledge of the lancet sheet is flexed for releasing the lancet structures from the removable ledge.

Consolidated power tips allow a power adaptor to be connected to disparately sized input ports of electronic devices. The consolidated power tips may be sized to balance insertion and pull-out forces for the disparately sized input ports. Deformable members may be added to the consolidated power tips for more desirable insertion and pull-out forces and improved electrical contact. For input ports with different electrical requirements, a mode selector may be added to the consolidated power tip to select between the electrical requirements of the different input ports. The consolidated power tips may be combined into a multi-prong power tip. The multi-prong power tip allows users to interface with a large number of disparate devices without changing power tips.

Unused sleeves may be retracted into the housing of the power tip. Manual or automatic extension mechanisms may be provided for extending the device interfaces from the housing. The multi-sleeve power tip allows users to interface with a large number of disparate devices without changing power tips.
