The display panel includes first and second substrates oppositely provided, and a polymer-stabilized liquid crystal layer; multiple sub-pixels include at least one first sub-pixel emitting light from a side of the second substrate away from the first substrate and at least one second sub-pixel emitting light from a side of the first substrate away from the second substrate; the first substrate in a first sub-pixel has a first shielding pattern, and an orthographic projection of the pixel electrode therein on a display panel plane is within that of the first shielding pattern on the first substrate; the second substrate in a second sub-pixel has a second shielding pattern, and an orthographic projection of the pixel electrode therein on the display panel plane is within that of the second shielding pattern on the second substrate.

A dual side view display includes a waveguide with an inside transparent layer and an outside transparent layer spaced apart from and parallel to the inside transparent layer, and a plurality of inside view liquid crystal (LC) pixels and a plurality of outside view LC pixels disposed within the waveguide. The plurality of outside view LC pixels are disposed within the waveguide parallel to and in-plane with the plurality of inside view LC pixels. The plurality of inside LC pixels includes a plurality of outside blocking layers configured to block light scattered in the plurality of inside view LC pixels from propagating through the outside transparent layer. Also, the plurality of outside view LC pixels includes a plurality of inside blocking layers configured to block light scattered in the plurality of outside view LC pixels from propagating through the inside transparent layer.

Dual side view waveguide liquid crystal displays

The present disclosure relates to an antenna apparatus. The antenna apparatus may include a first substrate; a second substrate opposite the first substrate; a first antenna layer; an insulating layer; and a conductive layer. The first antenna layer may comprise a plurality of antenna units, each of the plurality of antenna units may comprise a radiation patch and is configured to receive the signals in one of the different frequency ranges. The insulating layer may comprise a plurality of sub-insulating layers; the conductive layer may comprise a plurality of conductive electrodes; and the plurality of the sub-insulating layers, the plurality of the conductive electrodes, and the plurality of the antenna units may be in one-to-one correspondence. The radiation patch, at least one of the plurality of conductive electrodes, and at least one of the plurality of sub-insulating layers may constitute a rectifier diode structure.

Antenna apparatus and preparation method thereof

A liquid crystal display is configured such that a composite layer thereof is transparent to incident light in one voltage condition (e.g., in the absence of an applied voltage) and scatters incident light out of the display in another voltage condition (e.g., when a voltage is applied). The liquid crystal display does not need polarizers or color filters.

Waveguide liquid crystal display

Disclosed are a display panel, a method for controlling a display panel, and a display device. The display panel includes a light-emitting substrate and an optical modulation structure which are laminated; and the optical modulation structure supports a first state and a second state which are switchable. In the first state of the optical modulation structure, a first light-emitting unit forms an image at a first position. In the second state of the optical modulation structure, the first light-emitting unit forms an image at a second position. According to the present disclosure, with the optical modulation structure, each light-emitting unit is enabled to form two images at different positions in different states. In this way, the state of the optical modulation structure can be continuously switched without increasing the number of light-emitting units, thereby improving a display effect of the display panel.

A display panel and a display apparatus are provided. The display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate which are arranged oppositely. A liquid crystal layer is filled between the first substrate and the second substrate, the liquid crystal layer has dielectric anisotropy of parameter in a range from &#x2212;1 F/m to 1 F/m, a sum of a bending flexural coefficient and a splaying flexoelectric coefficient of the liquid crystal layer is greater than 1 pc/m, and liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer are deflected by a flexoelectric effect, so that deflecting speed of the liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer is improved and the response time of the liquid crystal layer is shortened.

The liquid crystal layer in the reflection region includes nematic liquid crystal and a polymer network. The polymer network in reflection region is formed by polymerizing the polymerizable monomers in the liquid crystal mixture.

A single-side light-emitting source, a method for manufacturing the same, and a display device are provided. The single-side light-emitting source includes a base substrate; a plurality of light-shielding patterns on the base substrate; a signal transmission pattern covering the plurality of light-shielding patterns; a plurality of first electrodes; an electroluminescent layer on the first electrodes; and a transparent second electrode layer on the electroluminescent layer. A display assembly having opposingly disposed display surface and back surface is disclosed herein, which includes a pixel electrode substrate and a common electrode substrate. A liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between, and configured to be in a scattering state if an electric field is applied to, the pixel electrode substrate and the common electrode substrate. A light source at a lateral side of the display assembly generates, and emits into the display assembly, a linearly polarized light having a first polarization direction. A blocking member disposed at the side of the back surface is configured to block a light having the first polarization direction to, and to allow a light having a second polarization direction perpendicular to the first polarization direction to pass therethrough. A method for manufacturing the display assembly, and a display device including one or two display assemblies are also disclosed.

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display device, including: a liquid crystal display panel, comprising a liquid crystal layer including a polymer network formed of a polymerizable monomer; a light guide component, wherein the light guide component is configured such that light from the light source is emitted out from the first surface of the light guide component into the liquid crystal display panel, and in a case that the liquid crystal layer is not applied with a voltage, light from the light source is totally reflected at the liquid crystal display panel without being emitted from a side of the second substrate opposite to the first substrate into the outside air.
