A privacy device and a privacy display apparatus are provided. The privacy device includes a first substrate, a first privacy electrode, first to fourth pads, a connection electrode, a second substrate, a liquid-crystal layer, a second privacy electrode, and a sealant. The first privacy electrode and the connection electrode are disposed on the first substrate. The first and second pads are coupled to the first privacy electrode. The third and fourth pads are coupled to the connection electrode. The first and second pads are disposed between the third pad and the fourth pad. The liquid-crystal layer and the sealant are disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The sealant includes multiple conductors. The connection electrode, the sealant, and the second privacy electrode are in a non-display area and overlap with each other along a direction perpendicular to a top surface of the first substrate.

Privacy device and privacy display apparatus

The present invention provides a display panel including a substrate, first pads, second pads, third pads, an integrated circuit chip, and a flexible printed circuit board. The substrate includes a display region and a non-display region. The first pads are disposed in the non-display region and include display signal pads used for transmitting display signals. The second pads are disposed in the non-display region, at least a portion of the second pads are disposed along a first direction, and the second pads are disposed closer to an edge of the substrate than the first pads. The third pads are disposed in the non-display region and along the first direction, and the third pads are electrically connected to the corresponding second pads. The integrated circuit chip covers and is electrically connected to the first pads and the second pads. The flexible printed circuit board is electrically connected to the third pads.

A fringe field switching liquid crystal display apparatus is provided. This apparatus includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode includes a first side edge, a second side edge and plural strips defining plural spacings between the first and the second side edges. Each of the plural strips is formed between two of the plural spacings, and each of the plural spacings has two ends. The second electrode is disposed in a stacked relationship with the first electrode, and includes at least a penetrating vacancy with a projection, which overlaps one of the two ends of one of the plural spacings.

Fringe field switching liquid crystal display apparatus

A fringe field switching liquid crystal display apparatus is provided. This apparatus includes a first electrode disposed in a stacked relationship with a second electrode. The first electrode includes a first side edge, a second side edge, and plural spaces that define plural strips between the first and the second side edges, wherein the plural strips and the plural spacings form a first area. The second electrode is disposed on one of places above and below the first electrode, and has at least a penetrating vacancy or other capacitance-reduction device, which has a projection onto the first electrode located outside the first area.
