A switched capacitor circuit includes an output capacitor, a first transmission switch, a first reference buffer, a second transmission switch, a second reference buffer and a charge compensation circuit. The output capacitor includes a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein the first terminal is coupled to an output terminal of the switched capacitor circuit, and the second terminal is coupled to a reference node. The first transmission switch is coupled to the reference node. The first reference buffer is coupled to the first transmission switch. The second transmission switch is coupled to the reference node. The second reference buffer is coupled to the second transmission switch. The charge compensation circuit is coupled to the reference node.

An active stylus, a touch sensor, and a signal transmission and sensing method are provided. The active stylus comprises: an integrated circuit (IC) and a transmitting circuit. The IC comprises: a first modulator, a second modulator, and a mixer. The first modulator is utilized for modulating a first signal with a first frequency to generate a first frequency modulated signal. The second modulator is utilized for modulating a second signal with a second frequency to generate a second frequency modulated signal. The mixer is coupled to the first modulator and the second modulator, and utilized for mixing the first frequency modulated signal and the second frequency modulated signal to generate a mixed signal having the first frequency and the second frequency. The transmitting circuit is coupled to the IC, and utilized for transmitting the mixed signal to the touch sensor.

A driver integrated circuit (IC) is arranged to selectively operate in a display mode and a touch-sensing mode when the driver IC is coupled to a touch display panel. When the driver IC operates in the display mode, the driver IC controls a plurality of common voltage lines of the touch display panel to have a common voltage. When the driver IC operates in the touch-sensing mode, the driver IC controls a first source line of the touch display panel which corresponds to a specific common voltage line, or controls a neighboring common voltage line of the specific common voltage line, to have a first signal pattern the same as the first signal pattern on the specific voltage line or to be floating, wherein the specific common voltage line is arranged to detect touch currently.

A driver integrated circuit (IC), arranged to selectively operate in a display mode, a self-capacitor mode and a mutual-capacitor mode when the driver IC is coupled to a touch display panel, wherein when the driver IC operates in the display mode, the driver IC outputs display data to a plurality of source lines of the touch display panel; when the driver IC operates in the self-capacitor mode, the driver controls the source lines to have a predetermined voltage; and when the driver IC operates in the mutual-capacitor mode, the driver IC sequentially sends an impulse signal to the source lines.

The touch-sensitive apparatus includes a touch sensing area, an analog-to-digital converter and a mixer. The touch sensing area has sensing pixels for receiving a touching signal to generate inducted signals. The analog-to-digital converter converts the inducted signals into digital signals. The mixer includes an in-phase multiplier, a quadrature multiplier, an in-phase summer, a quadrature summer and a Pythagorean operator. The in-phase multiplier multiplies each digital signal with a first reference signal to generate in-phase modulated signals. The quadrature multiplier multiplies each digital signal with a second reference signal to generate quadrature modulated signals. The in-phase summer respectively sums up elements of each modulated signal to generate in-phase values. The quadrature summer respectively sums up elements of each quadrature modulated signal to generate quadrature values. The Pythagorean operator performs a Pythagorean operation on each in-phase value and each quadrature value for determining a touch location information corresponding to the sensing pixels.

A multi-point temperature sensing method for integrated circuit chips and a system of the same are revealed. The system includes at least one slave temperature sensor embedded at preset positions for measuring temperature of a block and a master temperature sensor embedded in an integrated circuit chip and electrically connected to each slave temperature sensor. Variations of the slave temperature sensor induced by variations of process, voltage and temperature are corrected by the master temperature sensor. Thus the area the temperature sensors required on the integrated circuit chip is dramatically reduced and the stability of the temperature control system is improved. The problem of conventional System-on-a-Chip that only a limited number of temperature sensors could be used due to the area they occupied can be solved.

Active pen IC with a reduced amount of pads and a method thereof

A method for a successive approximation register ADC which includes at least one capacitor array and a plurality of switches is provided, in which the capacitors of the capacitor array are one-to-one corresponding to the switches. The method includes the following steps: firstly, at least one multiplexer is configured. Then, a first comparison voltage is outputted based on the terminal voltages on the terminals of the capacitor array, and a comparison result is outputted according to the first comparison voltage and a second comparison voltage. Afterwards, a sequence of comparisons is controlled based on the comparison result to enter into a sequence of comparison phases. Finally, the switches are orderly selected, by the multiplexer based on the comparison phases, to switch directly according to the comparison result.

Successive approximation analog to digital converter with a direct switching technique for capacitor array through comparator output and method thereof

The configurations and adjusting method of a successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (SAR ADC) are provided. The provided SAR ADC includes at least one capacitor with a first and a second terminals, and a plurality of bits, each of which is connected to the at least one capacitor, wherein the first terminal receives an input signal, and the second terminal selectively receives one of a first and a second reference voltages, and a first comparator receiving an adjustable third reference voltage and a first voltage value generated by the input signal, wherein a connection of the second terminal of each the capacitor of the capacitor array is switched when the first voltage value is larger than the third reference voltage.

Successive approximation analog-to-digital converter having auxiliary prediction circuit and method thereof

A successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is disclosed. A first and second capacitor DACs receive a first and second input signals respectively. A first coarse comparator compares an output of the first capacitor DAC with a window reference voltage, a second coarse comparator compares an output of the second capacitor DAC with the window reference voltage, and a fine comparator compares the output of the first capacitor DAC with the output of the second capacitor DAC. A SAR controller receives outputs of the first and second coarse comparators to determine whether the outputs of the first and second capacitor DACs are within a predictive window determined by the window reference voltage. The SAR controller bypasses at least one phase of analog-to-digital conversion of the SAR ADC when the outputs of the first capacitor DAC and the second capacitor DAC are determined to be within the predictive window. The SAR controller decodes the outputs of the first and second coarse comparators and the fine comparator to obtain a converted output of the SAR ADC.
