A method and an electronic device for configuring radio units in a hierarchical network are provided. The method includes: obtaining information of a first coverage radio unit, a second coverage radio unit, and a first capacity radio unit belonging to the first coverage radio unit, wherein the information comprising a coverage of the second coverage radio unit and a coverage of the first capacity radio unit; configuring a bandwidth of the first capacity radio unit such that the bandwidth of the first capacity radio unit is not overlapped with the bandwidth of the first coverage radio unit; and reducing a power of the first capacity radio unit in response to the coverage of the first capacity radio unit being overlapped with the coverage of the second coverage radio unit and the bandwidth of the first capacity radio unit being overlapped with the bandwidth of the second coverage radio unit.

Method for configuring radio units in hierarchical network and electronic device using the same

The disclosure provides a base station and a method for optimizing the coverage of a self-defined network. The method includes: receiving a measurement report from user equipment; in response to determining that the measurement report indicates that a neighboring first base station is present, sending a member tracking message to the first base station; determining whether the first base station belongs to any other base station group based on a member tracking response from the first base station; in response to determining that the first base station does not belong to any other base station group, adding the first base station to a base station group managed by the base station; and in response to determining that the member tracking response indicates that the first base station belongs to another base station group, merging the base station group and the another base station group.

Base station and method for optimizing coverage of self-defined network

The disclosure provides a method for coordinating beam sweeping scheduling and an intelligent controller. The method includes: controlling a first radio unit to perform a first beam sweeping operation to provide a plurality of first beams to a plurality of user equipments; determining whether or not a first specific beam corresponding to a hot spot area exists in the first beams; in response to determining the first specific beam exists in the plurality of first beams, obtaining a beam switching behavior associated with the first specific beam from radio units; obtaining a specific radio unit from the beam switching behavior; and controlling the specific radio unit to perform a second beam sweeping operation to provide at least one second specific beam directing to the hot spot area.

Method for coordinating beam sweeping scheduling and intelligent controller

A base station and a method that reduce abnormal cell re-selection behaviors. The base station includes: a detection module having a pattern information detector that provides pattern information of an almost blank subframe, and a measurement configuration adjustor that provides a first parameter threshold for cell-selection and generates a second parameter threshold for cell-selection according to the pattern information; and a measurement configuration generating module having a measurement configuration schedule generator that generates a broadcasting schedule according to the pattern information, a system information broadcaster that transmits first schedule information to first user equipment when the first user equipment establishes connection to allow the first user equipment to receive the first parameter threshold according to the first schedule information and perform cell-selection, and a dedicated signal generator that generates a dedicated signal and transmits second schedule information to second user equipment when the second user equipment establishes connection.

Base station and method for reducing abnormal cell re-selection behaviors

The present disclosure proposes a handover management method and a base station having a smart antenna using the same method. A transceiver of the base station transmits and receives wireless data. An interface controller of the base station transmits a source beam-forming information and receives a target beam-forming information. A processing circuit of the base station is coupled to the transceiver circuit and the interface controller and is configured for transmitting the source beam-forming information when switching to a setting of the smart antenna corresponding to the source beam-forming information and receiving the target beam-forming information using the interface controller, recording the source beam-forming information and the target beam-forming information as a beam-forming pair to a history of a handover when performing the handover, grouping the beam-forming pair in the history into beam-forming pair groups, and determining handover parameters for each of the beam-forming pair groups respectively.
