The present disclosure is directed to a sub-reflector assembly for a point-to-point antenna. The sub-reflector assembly includes a main body configured to hold an antenna, a sub-reflector supported by a plurality of support members extending axially outwardly from the main body, and an adjustment mechanism coupled to the sub-reflector and at least two of the support members, the adjustment mechanism configured to adjust the position of the sub-reflector relative to the main body to steer an antenna beam from the antenna. Related antenna assemblies are also described herein.

Sub-reflector assemblies and related antenna assemblies

A microwave antenna assembly and methods of using and/or assembling the same, which may mitigate problems related to tolerance and tolerance stackup. For example, the microwave antenna assembly may include a waveguide that includes a first waveguide component and a second waveguide component; and a mechanical connection configured to couple the first waveguide component and the second waveguide component and configured to force a first gap between the first waveguide component and the second waveguide component. A spanning distance of the first gap may be selected to reduce a size of a second gap due to tolerances within the microwave antenna assembly between the waveguide and radio equipment. The radio equipment may be configured to provide the waveguide with microwave radiofrequency (RF) signals.

Microwave antenna systems with multiple waveguide segments

Microwave antenna systems include a parabolic reflector antenna having a feed bore and a feed assembly. The feed assembly includes a coaxial waveguide structure that extends through the feed bore, a sub-reflector, and a first dielectric block that is positioned between the coaxial waveguide structure and the sub-reflector. The coaxial waveguide structure includes a central waveguide and an outer waveguide that circumferentially surrounds the central waveguide. One of the central waveguide and the outer waveguide extends further from the feed bore towards the sub-reflector than the other of the central waveguide and the outer waveguide.

Feed systems for multi-band parabolic reflector microwave antenna systems

An antenna structure includes a radiator element configured for operation at a first microwave frequency range and at a second microwave frequency range that is higher than the first microwave frequency range, and a reflector including the radiator element attached thereto. The reflector includes an enclosure that houses the radiator element and a radiating aperture. The antenna structure further includes a radome assembly adjacent the radiating aperture. The radome assembly includes a flexible radome having a thickness that is less than a wavelength corresponding to the first or second microwave frequency ranges, and a tensioning member that extends along a perimeter of the flexible radome and maintains tension in a surface of the flexible radome.
