A system for virtual commissioning of a building management system includes one or more memory devices configured to store instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to: receive, at a virtual server, product installation data from a building management system controller installed at a building site via a first connection, the product installation data corresponding to a product installation at the building site; receive, commissioning data from the remote commissioning system via a second connection; configure one or more products installed at the building site to be controlled by the virtual building management system on the virtual server; and selectively transfer control of the one or more products installed at the building site from the virtual building management system hosted at on the virtual server to the building management system controller installed at the building site.

Systems and methods for virtual commissioning of building management systems

A building management system (BMS) provides feedback to a user via a user interface to assist the user in configuring the BMS. It can be challenging for new or less experienced users to understand all of the actions they are performing when configuring a BMS. The feedback presented via the user interface includes graphical and textual feedback to alert the user of actions performed when applying tags. The feedback identifies one or more missing requirements associated with the tags. The feedback presented via the user interface also includes textual summaries of control sequences configured using the BMS. The textual summaries include descriptions of control sequences and instructions for properly configuring the building equipment.

Building management system with instant feedback on configuration

Systems and methods for guided installation of building equipment are provided. A request for a wiring diagram for wiring a first piece of building equipment to a second piece of building equipment is received from a user device. One or more first wiring configurations associated with the first piece of building equipment and one or more second wiring configurations associated with the second piece of building equipment are identified. Based on the one or more first wiring configurations and the one or more second wiring configurations, an equipment-specific wiring configuration for wiring the first piece of building equipment to the second piece of building equipment is automatically selected. A graphical user interface including a wiring diagram illustrating the equipment-specific wiring configuration is provided to the user device.

A system for building management system commissioning on an application includes one or more memory devices configured to store instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to host a building management system commissioning workflow on an application server; provide data indicating commissioning activities defined by the building management system commissioning workflow from the application server to a user device for display on a user interface; dynamically update a commissioning activity status of the commissioning activities in the building management system commissioning workflow hosted on the application server responsive to data received at the application server from at least one of the user device or a remote device at the building site communicatively connected to the application server; and initiate an automated action based on the commissioning activity status of the commissioning activities in the building management system commissioning workflow application.

Systems and methods for building management system commissioning on an application

A control system includes a device of building equipment operable to alter a variable state or condition of a building in response to a command, a controller in communication with the device and operable to generate the command by executing an expected control sequence in response to one or more inputs, and a system manager. The system manager is configured to automatically verify that the controller executes the expected control sequence by automatically generating test logic based on a common data model tag for the device. The test logic specifies an input condition and an expected system response. The system manager is further configured to automatically verify that the controller executes the expected control sequence by adjusting one or more of the one or more inputs such that the input condition is satisfied and determining whether the expected system response occurs.

Control system with automated control sequence verification

A building management system (BMS) network interface device including an external communication device configured to provide communication between the BMS network interface and a number of user devices, over a first network. The device further includes a BMS network communication interface for communicating with one or more BMS devices over a second network. The device includes a processing circuit, which includes a number of tools configured to be accessed via a user interface, and further configured to communicate with one or more BMS devices on the second network. The tools include a tailored view tool and a device checkout tool. The tailored view is configured to allow a user to modify the information displayed on the user interface. The device checkout tool is configured to allow a user to select one or more devices on the second network and to modify one or more attributes of the selected devices using the user interface.
