The present disclosure provides a stabilizing system for a medical device. The stabilizing system includes a table and a stabilizing unit. The table includes a table having a base member and an upper member. The upper member is removably mounted on top of an upper portion of the base member. The upper member includes an inverted T-shaped slot. The stabilizing unit includes a base portion and a support member. The base portion has side rails. The support member is disposed on the base portion. The support member is configured to receive and support a catheter assembly comprising a catheter and a catheter handle. The stabilizing unit is mounted to the upper member of the table by sliding the side rails into the inverted T-shaped slot.

Medical device stabilizing apparatus and method of use

A valve repair device includes a first paddle, a second paddle, a spacer, a first gripping member, and a second gripping member. The first paddle and the second paddle are configured to move between a closed position and an open position. The spacer is disposed between the first paddle and the second paddle. The first gripping member is disposed between the first paddle and the spacer. The second gripping member is disposed between the second paddle and the spacer. The first paddle and the first gripping member are configured to capture a first native valve leaflet. The second paddle and the second gripping member are configured to capture a second native valve leaflet.

Native valve repair devices and procedures

Catheterization methods and apparatuses allow sensing of pressures inside the heart and for removing air from catheters. A delivery system can use the same components that are used to deliver a valve repair or replacement device to measure the pressure in the atrium or other heart chamber. A pressure sensor can be included in one of the catheters of the delivery system or pressure can be sensed through the same port that is used to flush a catheter. The delivery system can be inserted into the heart, delivering the valve repair or replacement device to the native valve, such as the mitral valve, the tricuspid valve, the aortic valve, or the pulmonary valve.

Catheterization method and apparatus

A stabilizing unit for a medical device includes a base member, a housing, a stabilizing fork, one or more springs, and a retaining arm. A flexible delivery catheter can be used to deploy valve repair and replacement devices at an implant site for the repair or replacement of poorly functioning native heart valves. Such a catheter can include a flexible tube having a plurality of links. A control wire can be connected to the plurality of links, such that applying tension to the control wire causes the flexible tube to bend.

Deployment tools and methods for delivering a device to a native heart valve

A system for implanting a repair device onto a native valve of a natural heart to repairing the native valve of a patient during a non-open-heart procedure. The system includes a pair of paddles and a pair of gripping members. The paddles are moveable between an open position and a closed position. The gripping members can have different configurations for effective attachment and release from the native valve of the patient.

In a particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a prosthetic valve delivery assembly that includes a storage tube and a nose cone cap. A prosthetic valve having a frame is at least partially disposed within the storage tube. A nose cone is disposed about an elongated shaft. The nose cone cap and the storage tube have mating first and second locking member that can be coupled to selectively secure the nose cone cap to the storage tube.

The spacer element extends past side edges of the gripping members, extends past side edges of the paddles, or extends past the side edges of both the gripping members and the paddles.

A system for implanting a repair device onto a native valve of a natural heart to repair the native valve of a patient during a non-open-heart procedure. The system includes a delivery catheter and a valve repair device. The valve repair device is disposed inside the delivery catheter. The valve repair device includes a pair of paddles and a pair of gripping members. The pair of paddles are movable between an open position and a closed position. The pair of paddles and the pair of gripping members are configured to secure the valve repair device to leaflets of the native valve. The pair of paddles are compressed inside the delivery catheter. Each paddle of the pair of paddles is configured to expand upon exiting the delivery catheter to increase the surface area of each paddle.

An exemplary valve repair device for repairing a native valve of a patient includes a coaption element, a pair of paddles, and barb portions. The barb portions extend directly from at least one of the coaption element and the pair of paddles.

Heart valve sealing devices and delivery devices therefor

A valve repair device for repairing a native valve of a patient includes a pair of paddles and a pair of gripping members. The pair of paddles are movable between an open position and a closed position. Each paddle comprises a metal loop that is moveable from a compressed condition where each metal loop has a first width to an expanded condition where each loop has a second width that is greater than the first width. The pair of gripping members are configured to attach to the native valve of the patient.

A stabilizing apparatus for a transcatheter delivery system includes a housing having an aperture to receive the transcatheter delivery system. An engagement member is disposed in the housing. A biasing element urges the engagement member against a surface of the transcatheter delivery system when the transcatheter delivery system is placed in the housing.

The system includes a surgical a valve repair device for repairing a native valve of a patient including a pair of paddles, and a pair of gripping members. The paddles are movable between an open position and a closed position, in which the paddles are moved to the open position by moving a pivot point of each paddle in an outward direction and pivoting each of the paddles about the pivot point of the paddle. The paddles and the gripping members are configured to attach to the native valve of the patient when the paddles are in the closed position.

In a particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a prosthetic valve delivery assembly that includes a storage tube. A prosthetic valve having a frame is at least partially disposed within the storage tube. A nose cone is disposed about an elongated shaft. A stylet having at least a first bent portion extends through a lumen of the nose cone. The at least a first bent portion is disposed within the lumen of the nose cone and restricts axial movement of the elongated shaft relative to the prosthetic valve.
