Provided herein is a method of making a clear or translucent object by additive manufacturing, comprising (a) providing a clear or translucent light polymerizable resin, the resin comprising: (i) light-polymerizable monomers, prepolymers, or a combination thereof; (ii) a photoinitiator; and (iii) a polysubstituted linear polyacene ultraviolet light absorbing compound which compound is polysubstituted with bromo, chloro, &#x2014;Se&#x2014;R', &#x2014;S&#x2014;R&#x2032; or combinations thereof, where each R&#x2032; is independently selected from alkyl, aryl, and arylalkyl; and then (b) producing by stereolithography with ultraviolet light a clear or translucent object from said light polymerizable resin.

Production of light-transmissive objects by additive manufacturing

The invention generally relates to microneedle devices, methods of making same, pharmaceutical compositions comprising same, and methods of treating a disease comprising administering same. Specifically, the disclosed microneedle devices comprise a plurality of biocompatible microneedles having one or more of: (i) a curved, discontinuous, undercut, and/or perforated sidewall; (ii) a sidewall comprising a breakable support; and (iii) a cross-section that is non-circular and non-polygonal. The microneedles may also be tiered. Alternatively, the microneedles may be tiered. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
