Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, systems, and methods for tissue resection in a body lumen of a patient, and may include an endoscope and a backstop delivery device extendable through the endoscope. The backstop delivery device may deliver a backstop to a location of selected tissue for resection. A backstop may include a covering being deployable in a patient. The covering may have one or more anchoring mechanisms disposed on an edge of the covering. A tissue resecting device may be extendable through the endoscope for resecting the selected tissue for resection. The covering may be deployable to an outer surface of the body lumen, such that the anchoring mechanism may secure the covering to the outer surface of the body lumen and the covering may expand to cover the selected tissue for resection.

Devices, systems, and methods for tissue resection

Systems and methods for treating tissue may include one or more delivery devices, a grasping element, a first ring for anchoring to a wall of a gastrointestinal tract, and a second ring operably couplable to a radially inward surface of the first ring. Other embodiments include methods of treating tissues, including tubular tracts of tissue, comprising coupling a first ring to first tissue of a wall of a tissue tract, relocating a target tissue proximally to a position proximal to the first ring, coupling a second ring to the first ring, and cutting tissue proximal to the interface of the first and second rings.

Systems and related methods for tissue treatment

A pressure sensing medical device may include a guidewire including a tubular member having a lumen, the tubular member being translatable between a generally straightened position and a deflected position, and a pressure sensor attached at a distal end of a fiber optic extending within the lumen, the pressure sensor being disposed within a distal portion of the tubular member. The pressure sensor may include a pressure-sensitive membrane disposed on a distal end thereof. The pressure sensor may include one or more contact members capable of providing a contact point between the contact member and an inner surface of the tubular member when in the deflected position, the contact point being axially spaced apart from the membrane along a longitudinal axis of the pressure sensor.

The medical device may also include a tubular member having a proximal end disposed adjacent to the optical pressure sensor and a distal portion extending along the distal region of the shaft.

Pressure sensing guidewire systems with reduced pressure offsets

A personal safety glove including a glove having a top surface, a bottom surface, and an adjustable cuff. A camera, a speaker, an activation control, a charging port, an emergency control, and an indicator light are disposed on the glove. A rechargeable battery, a GPS tracking chip, and a microprocessor are disposed within the glove. The emergency control has a first position, an alternate second position, and an alternate third position. The emergency control is configured to activate the speaker to sound an alarm when the emergency control is in the first position. The emergency control is configured to activate the camera when the emergency control is in the second position. The emergency control is configured to activate the GPS tracking chip when the emergency control is in the third position.

Example apparatus and methods order projections in a 3D MRI acquisition to achieve improved equidistant spacing or to achieve improved adherence to a target distribution. The equidistant or target spacing may exist in k-space and/or in kt-space. In one embodiment, the improved equidistant spacing is a substantially uniform spacing. The substantially uniform spacing may be achieved using a modification of a charge repulsion analysis that treats points of projections that intersect the surface of a 3D volume to be imaged as point charges distributed on the 3D volume. In another embodiment, the target spacing may be uniform, non-uniform, uniform in parts and non-uniform in other parts, and other combinations.

Ordering projections for magnetic resonance

Example apparatuses and methods control a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus to perform a non-Cartesian, under-sampled, multi-echo MRI process. One example process includes controlling the MRI apparatus to excite an object to be imaged using a multi-echo Gradient Recalled Echo (GRE) pulse sequence. The example process also includes controlling the MRI apparatus to acquire a data set from the object to be imaged as a function of performing a non-Cartesian, under-sampling acquisition. The data set includes data acquired at two or more echo times (TE) per repetition (TR) and an element in the data set is sampled two or more times as a function of a non-Cartesian trajectory that crosses itself at least once. The process also includes controlling the MRI apparatus to reconstruct an image of the object to be imaged from the data set. The image may map brain activity.

Non-cartesian under-sampled multi-echo MRI

This invention relates generally to an underarm hygiene product having the form of a deodorant patch between a top carrier sheet and a bottom carrier sheet. Deodorant patches dissolve upon contact with the underarm skin and provide a discreet, portable method of remaining fresh in any time or place. Convenient one time dispensing by a flat patch eliminates the need for bulky containers and provides an elegant solution to limitations on quantities of personal care products during airline flights while away from home. This invention also relates to a method of producing the underarm hygiene product.

Deodorant patch and method for making

A method and computer system present a user with a target icon on a computer screen and instruct the user to place a cursor thereon and twice actuate a mouse switch. The method measures the positions of the cursor on the screen during, and the time between, the two actuations by the user, and uses these measurements to customize, for the given user, the dual actuation speed and cursor movement area used to determine a double-click input command.
