An environmental control system of a vehicle includes a first inlet for receiving a first medium, a second inlet for receiving a second medium, and an outlet for delivering a conditioned medium to a load. A first compression device is configured to receive and compress the first medium and a second compression device is configured to receive and compress the second medium. The first medium and the second medium are mixed together at a mixing point such that a mixture of the first medium and the second medium is the conditioned medium provided at the outlet.

Environmental control system with no bleed driven throttle

Fuel tank inerting systems are described. The systems include a fuel tank having an inerting system flow path connected to the fuel tank. A catalytic reactor is arranged along the inerting system flow path configured to receive a reactant mixture of first reactant and a second reactant to generate inert gas. A condenser heat exchanger is arranged between the catalytic reactor and the fuel tank to cool an output from the catalytic reactor. A first ejector is configured to receive the first reactant and the second reactant and output the reactant mixture through an outlet. A second ejector is configured to receive an inert gas and the second reactant to output a mixture of the second reactant and the inert gas.

A system and method that determines whether a heat exchanger within a complex networked system is fouling is provided. The system and method includes training classifiers indicative of a plurality of fouling conditions associated with the heat exchanger and testing the classifiers with optimal sensor data from optimal sensors to determine whether the fouling is being experienced by the heat exchanger.

A system includes, in one example, a first heater device, a second heater device, and a temperature sensor, each disposed within a fluid flow. The system further includes a controller communicatively coupled to the first heater device, the second heater device, and the temperature sensor. The controller is configured to receive, from the temperature sensor, an indication of a measured temperature of the fluid flow. The controller is further configured to control, based on a difference between the measured temperature of the fluid flow and a target temperature, operation of the first heater device via a first pulse width modulation signal and operation of the second heater device via a second pulse width modulation signal.
