A lighting device for a vehicle including at least one light source, at least one sensor configured to acquire information outside the vehicle based on infrared. A cover including a first portion covers the at least one light source and a second portion that is opaque to visible light and to infrared. The cover further includes a third portion that is opaque to visible light and transparent to infrared, substantially centered on said at least one sensor and integrated into the second portion.

The invention relates to a system for assisting with driving a vehicle, including at least one sensor configured to detect the presence of an object in an environment outside the vehicle, at least one camera configured to acquire images of the environment outside the vehicle and to detect the presence of the object in the environment outside the vehicle. The at least one sensor detects at least one free space in the environment outside the vehicle, the at least one camera, on the basis of the acquired images, detects at least one free space. An electronic control unit configured to select a free space found by the at least one sensor and/or the at least one camera, the electronic control unit activates the display of images in the selected free space so as to indicate a new path to be followed by the vehicle.

System for assisting with driving a vehicle

The invention concerns a system for lighting a lateral region of a vehicle. The system includes a first rear light module capable of emitting a first light beam and a second front light module capable of emitting a second light beam. The first and second light modules are arranged such that their respective light beams are oriented towards each other. The invention also relates to a vehicle including such a system. The invention finally concerns a lighting method and a method for assisting the driving of a vehicle.

The invention relates to a light element of a vehicle with at least one light source configured to emit light rays, a reflective layer. With a pattern made wholly or partly in the reflective layer. A method for obtaining an image of an object to be classified for a driver assistance system of a motor vehicle, wherein the vehicle emits a plurality of selectively activatable light areas in front of it, at least partly forming an illuminating and/or signaling light beam. The method includes the following successive steps: &#x2014;detecting an object to be classified by determining at least one parameter and defining a region comprising said object to be classified; &#x2014;triggering an increase in the light intensity of said light areas illuminating said region; &#x2014;taking at least one image of said object to be classified simultaneously with the triggering step; and&#x2014;classifying the detected object on the basis of the at least one taken image. The invention also relates to a system for implementing said method and a vehicle comprising such a system. Lastly, the invention relates to a computer program product and a medium comprising such a program.
